Uma Thurman Does InStyle UK December 2008

For their December Issue, InStyle UK decided to bring Uma in their pages, Uma with her last year story.

It’s not a reprint. At least not that I know of, but the story was already featured in InStyle US, the September Issue. Even if the interview was previously featured in another edition, I prefer Uma’s UK cover because she looks more natural (and, dare I say, prettier?). I will not quote the interview because it’s the same I covered in the past, but tell me what you think about this cover (and if you like her better than the US edition). (photo via)

The Crocs Go Boots!

Oh no, they’re not going anywhere! The Crocs are here to stay! And because winter approaches, there goes the Crocs-boot!

I don’t think there would ever be a Crocs design I’ll like. And it’s not because they’re ugly beyond compare, let’s be serious, we know what ugly stands for when it comes to shoes! It’s because people stubbornly choose to wear Crocs everywhere. Anytime. I sincerely admit to having bought a pair of green Crocs for one of my kids. And he made a splash out of those Crocs all summer long! But Crocs Boots? Could you wear some? (photos via ontdff)

Missy Rayder For Comme Des Garçons H&M

Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçons interpretation on high street fashion in collaboration with Hennes and Mauritz is finally out (in stores from November 13th).

You can see the ads everywhere, you can even see the Sartorialist opining about the line. And Missy Rayder. I won’t get into the oratorical details, you can have all the fun (all you need to do is pay a little attention to their speech). I’ll get into the great gesture made by H&M – bringing haute couture to a fast fashion price tag is amazing and highly inspirational. And those polka dots, aren’t they lovely?

Heidi Klum’s Guitar Hero

We were thinking, my dearest husband and I, to teach the kids how to play the guitar. Of course we were considering a WII twist to make things techie-appealing.

If something will make them understand music, it’s definitely not the latest Guitar Hero advertising with Heidi Klum. Made after the unforgettable Tom Cruise from Risky Business, this new commercial shows a little too much. Too bouncy and too lace-y for my taste. Next you know, the kids will be asking if black lace lingerie comes with Guitar Hero in a super premium pack, right? Maybe some Heidi too? (after the break you can watch the original Tom Cruise video sequence)

George Michael Freedom 90!

We’re in a stage of super-ness. And because (and for a thousand other fashionable reasons), I just wanted to enjoy this beautiful song and most impressive video with you.

Sometimes the clothes do not make demands! (like we wouldn’t know better! Ha!). Linda Evangelista. Naomi Campbell. Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Tatjana Patitz. Freedom! No matter when, I’ll still look back on this video and sing along with those beautiful girls. The Supers. George Michael’s Freedom 90 was and still is a declaration of fashion and style first of all. Enjoy!

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Outfit For Two Lovers Paris Premiere

When good girls go bad-outfit! There must be something else I haven’t quite understood from Gwyneth Paltrow’s black and white Antonio Berardi dress, an outfit choice making the buzz of the internet lately…

At the first glance, without taking into consideration her white lingerie (that we can see pretty well), I’d say it’s a gesture of solidarity towards her daring good friend, Madonna. On a second thought, black lace with some white gown, that’s something only Katie Holmes can design and wear. Not to mention the matching booties. How do you see this new Questionable Style with Gwyneth? Don’t forget to cast your vote right after the photo! (photos via dailymail)

The Sartorialist Does Chanel Homme Photos For Fantastic Man Magazine

I believe you heard about, read about, saw about The Sartorialist. At least once. If you read Stylefrizz on a regular basis, you already know how I feel about him.

I wish you share your feelings about the overwhelmingly known Scott Schuman, otherwise called The Sartorialist. Why this? Because I just ran into some pictures taken by him for The Fantastic Man magazine with the new Chanel Homme collection. He’s doing the “Sartorialist”-stylee and he shots à la Scott Schumann. I think it’s overrated and, photographically judging (even with an amateur-ish eye like mine), the pictures aren’t special. But let me hear you out – how do you feel about the Sartorialist-phenomenon and these Chanel Homme pictures? (via)

Could You Wear Perfume Bottle-Necklaces?

When I saw the Daisy perfume ring, I thought this was it, now they’re all go for little bottles, tiny arrangements to carry your perfume with your. To wear it. And put some on whenever you feel like it.

I wasn’t quite wrong. Here’s the Urban Outfitters take on the wear your perfume – a small bottle with a necklace. (yes, the bottles come empty, you can fill them. Or not!) The four pieces have a vintage air to them and could make a great jewelry just like that, without taking into consideration (and use) the tiny bottle. I don’t think I’d put my perfume into those, would you? (via, photos urbanoutfitters)
