Lily Allen Does Nylon In December January 2009
November 21st, 2008 by kpriss
After Paris Hilton, anything and anyone is more than welcomed for a Nylon cover. But Lily Allen is a favorite of mine. Somehow.
I like her rebellious ways. I don’t really like her vagabond-ish style, but as long as she’s on the other side of the screen, I’m all safe. Plus she’s got talent. Plus she makes some funny music (so I couldn’t help it and I also added one of her songs right after the break). Plus she’s not your average skinny young famous girl! So I think I like this December 2009-January 2009 Nylon! She even chopped off some of her hair during the photo shoot! How can you mess with that? They didn’t even photoshopped her (I guess they were afraid to since she’s known for “reacting” to photographers), so here’s Lily under “Brave New Girl” title doing some Nylon photographs. How does it look like to you? Luckily I like Lily for who she is because her cover picture looks rather strange to me! (nylonmag via tfs)

Winter Pedicure With BootiePies!
November 21st, 2008 by kpriss
Remember the infamous UGGs? Well, they finally spawned something useful! Or at least that’s what’s believed to be!
The Bootiepies are somewhat related with the Ugg boots in shape (and beauty) but that’s about it! The Bootiepies are pedicure boots for winter. (at first, when I heard that, I thought there was some kind of mechanism inside that actually gave you a fancy pedicure while doing nothing at all! I was so wrong!) There’s a little patent leather front that you have to press down and your toes face the light of the salon for a comfy, speedy pedicure, without taking your Ugg-ly shoes off, without catching a nasty cold on your way home (or whatever) from the salon! Goldfrapp’s Caravan Girl And Happiness
November 21st, 2008 by kpriss
Our friend, Ellington, suggested something for a Friday Break. A perfectly carefree song, something truly fitted for a dreaming-away Friday! Thanks, Ellington!
Goldfrapp’s Caravan Girl is a favorite of mine lately but it also reminded me how much I actually like Allison Goldfrapp’s voice and how much I sing along her beautiful tunes! So I decided to add another video to the Caravan Girl – Happiness! And now I can only jump on my chair… Happiness…. Love, love, love!! Na-na-naaaaa! Enjoy Goldfrapp (and don’t miss the Happiness video right after the jump!)
Keira About Corsets Without Moderation
November 20th, 2008 by kpriss
Even if they used to be highly praised and charming, the corsets aren’t what they used to be. The Alexander McQueen catwalk event stands proof.
What you didn’t know, it was that intelligence and corsets are related! The sooner we’ll understand that clothes make us smarter, the better! No one saw the dangereuse liason between corsets and brain cells, and lookie what happened! But Keira sees the dangers now! And she speaks up: (via pagesix)
It’s obvious why women were called the weaker sex, because you can hardly breathe [in a corset]. It’s a fight just to get oxygen to your brain!

Beyonce’s Fierce Chanel Globe Earrings Vs Lorraine Schwartz Robo Glove
November 20th, 2008 by kpriss
I can’t get used to calling her whatever-fierce because I don’t see the reason. Beyonce still looks like she always did, she sings like she always did. The only thing that’s changed about her is her social status – she’s a married woman, now.
And that doesn’t qualify for fierce. To my eyes. However, it’s good to know that she left her Dereon years behind and now she dresses like a human being. Her latest fashion gesture was a Rock & Republic turtleneck shiny maxi dress, black and simple. Anticipating Christmas, she matched the dress with a pair of globe black earrings looking great from afar and scaring cheap at close inspection. (more pictures after the jump!)
Katie Holmes And Her Short Fashion Disaster
November 20th, 2008 by kpriss
I still don’t understand how can someone turn a splendid trend into … this! Especially when that someone has the means and the motifs to pull a great look!
How hard can it be? A navy oversize jacket with undetermined shape or specific trend, a beige boyfriend sweater underneath that matches the cuts on the short jeans, brown (almost opaque) tights matching the great Birkin, high heeled brown suede boots and that breathtaking, traffic stopping vermilion scarf! I could’ve forgiven her in the name of her (so called) designer eccentricity, but on a second thought, for fashion’s sake it’s a no-go! Katie Holmes has, once again, managed a masterpiece of fashion disaster. Ain’t that Birkin truly wonderful, given the circumstances? (photos via)
Rihanna’s White Tatoo Heart Campaign For Gucci And Unicef
November 19th, 2008 by kpriss
There’s something strange about Rihanna and her ambassadorship for Unicef via Gucci… It’s like seeing a mother breastfeeding while wearing a studded leather combo… But I guess everything goes in the name of Good Will Fashion.
Gucci has signed up Rihanna for its annual Unicef campaign to benefit African HIV/AIDS infected children, orphans. The collection is called Tattoo Heart and it features the Gucci symbols (the horsebit and the web) in mostly Red and Green on White background, something we’re most used seeing chez Gucci. The design is highly cartoonish and contrasting, rather out of Rihanna’s usual fetish style. The collection will be available starting November 19th 2008 up until the end of January 2009. Besides being an obvious marketing-darling, what relates Rihanna and the Tattoo Heart Collection from Gucci for Unicef? Oh, and does anyone has a déjà vu feeling like I did when I saw the designed stars? Something strongly reminded me of the t-shirt Kate Moss did for Topshop… (via vogue.co.uk, justjared) (more images right after the jump and a video with a preview of the campaign)

Could You Wear Pam Hogg’s Leggings And Catsuit?
November 19th, 2008 by kpriss
I may be a conservative in my own way, but wearing a superwoman flashy costume, even for a night out, doesn’t ring any bells for me.
In spite of the disco 80es loud groove, I can’t get anything more out of this gorgeous Pam Hogg creation. Of course I could see it fit for a Star Trek launch party, but you’ll have to convince me there’s more to it than that. So, could you wear Pam Hogg’s flashy catsuit? And if the answer is affirmative, what would be the occasion and how would you choose to match it to make a complete outfit out of it? I admit, I’m truly fascinated by this creation, but I can’t decide if it’s for the good or the bad side of style. (I could give the leggings a wild run, but that’s about how far I could go!) (via)
