In my recently assumed quest of finding the best June/July 2009 cover (or magazine) my eyes were enchanted by the view of Vogue Paris! With Anja Rubik (yes, a model covering Vogue magazine!) on the cover, Vogue Paris June 2009 is no less than charming!
I’ll take it one step at the time, because there’s more than the beautiful cover for this surprising issue of Vogue Paris! There’s really much, much more inside! Perfect fit, perfectly synchronized with the most glamorous Cannes Film Festival, Vogue Paris pins up my summer! (thankfully, finally, I’m over Cameron Diaz doing a Vogue US cover) How about yours? How comes that when your only fash-wish is to see a certain designated trend disappearing at the speed of light it only bounces back, even stronger, more hideous, more tasteless than ever?
Exporting Topshop wasn’t just about the store, it’s about the getting-topshop-dressed! Everybody (and their dog) complains about Lindsay Lohan’s leggings. Every-fash-body knows that wide-leg jeans are so in right now, that they’re Beyond! But what do you make of all that fash-good sense when Topshop comes with Treggings saying that they’re the must? Jeans made of Leggings? With back pockets? And now they’re going washed-grey because Whitney Port said so? Skinny/curvy/fash- girls and boys out there, do you really declare the Jeggings/Treggings the new It pants for 2009/2010? (via 1, 2)

The wonderful Mischa Barton and her wonderful TV show The Beautiful Life (The Simple Life, The Beautiful Life, is there no imagination left for TV shows names?) will be available this very fall on the CW network. How can you resist a runway show by Zac Posen, with his own comments? Couldn’t they at least find a real model instead of Mischa supposedly leading the Beautiful Life of a model? Claudia Schiffer’s D & G Black Dress For Cannes 2009

Claudia Schiffer brings modesty to a new glam height. For Cannes’ amfAR (Cinema Against AIDS) Benefit Gala, she got a simple, beautiful little black dress by Dolce & Gabbana.
The corset top and the tulle princess skirt made such a stunner out of her LBD, I couldn’t overlook her. Despite her dress similarity to Scarlett Johansson Met Gala’s nude-toned gown, there’s something about Claudia that brings a royal look to this Dolce & Gabbana! Isn’t she Cannes-picture perfect? i-D Sigrid, Raquel, Tasha In June July 2009!

i-D’s 300th issue is celebrated with three different covers. In content and styling also. Sigrid Agren by Alasdar McClellan is the first wink and her cover looks like just pulled out of an i-D winking photo booth.
Tasha Tilberg by Kayt Jones in black and white: the strong contrast, the styling made this cover breathtakingly beautiful. As for Raquel Zimmerman’s cover, shot by Juergen Teller, it really isn’t my favorite but I’ll try to give it a wink, just because I really loved the previous two i-D covers!
