Didn’t she used to say that a clothing range of her own design would give her a migraine? Or was it about a signature perfume? The truth is Emma Watson will add designer to her celeb resume.

Designer for UK based label People Tree! Now the good news: all proceeds will be donated to the People Tree Foundation (a charity helping farmers and artisans with training and environmental initiatives).

“I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to help alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with”

Available next year (February 2010, to be more exact), Emma Watson’s collection for People Tree was just a creative adviser for this capsule lifestyle collection: dresses, knitwear, jersey, t-shirts, trousers, skirts. I truly hesitated in naming this “casual”! I was thinking more out-of-bed casual, so you tell me, what does that dress look like to you?

Because I keep thinking about bed sheets. Looong, lazy sheets! The good news is you get rid of all the morning-dressing up fuss: suffice to take your crimped sheet, drape it around your neck, tuck the front in to make a décolleté and there you go! Yours the sidewalk! The fashionable one, as exemplified by Byrdie Bell here! (oh, and in case you don’t feel in the mood for anything bedding, think using your shower curtain or your window curtain. Or your table cloth, by all means! Anything linge de maison will do the fashion trick in this case!) (photo via)
