Madonna Sans Photoshop

Now we had Kylie without makeup, I can’t hold back anymore: I’ve got to have Madonna sans photoshop!

Remember the sweet days of Madonna and her Jesus? Well, an unretouched, uncut picture from that infamous W pictorial has been surfing the viral Internet hot waves for few days now and I can’t keep it for myself anymore! Have to share (at least the Madonna part of it, the rest you can see for yourself here. Too bad they chose another take for that part of the pictorial, we would have had a perfect before and after mirror!)

Vogue February 2010: US Jessica Biel Vs Paris Daria Werbowy

I hoped it was just a joke, but it proved to be only the saddest of truth: Jessica Biel covered Vogue US, the February 2010 issue. And because the cover looks like an old Ralph Lauren ad, I can’t get over the feeling that their real cover girl walked on them at the last minute so they had to get someone available. Someone who’s always available. Jessica Biel! What a refreshing view! Not.

Instead of dancing the calm dance because they’ll leave Vogue US far behind even if they go with (again) Lara Stone for the cover, Vogue Paris went for a gorgeous looking (comme d’habitude) Daria Werbowy. On hot desert location. Oh, it’s so hard! Which one to choose, which one to lose? (the story continues after the jump with more images, click here to see the gallery!)

Kylie Minogue Without Makeup

We all love a small dose of sincerity from our celeb faces, the ones we loved to entertain ourselves with. Today it’s Kylie Minogue’s episode: from no-makeup to Vogue’s pages.

She appeared bare faced, sans makeup the other day for every paparazzi near her to see how real she’s keeping it but then she tweeted her Vogue photoshoot just like me and you and any of us would do: “Look ma’! No wrinkles!” (only loads of Photoshop!) That’s what I would say! What would you say? (photos via)

Where Is Joaquin Phoenix?

We all know and (at least in what concerns me) felt the terror of losing Joaquin Phoenix for some rap coma he seemed to have induced himself into.

But here’s the good news (I couldn’t just keep it all for myself!): Joaquin is alive and well, receiving special internet and musical culture tutoring from Miley Cyrus. And he’s prophesying it further to charming Liv Tyler. It’s a non-faked video in which we all get the chance to hear Miley’s razor voice and special vision on Gaga’s Bad Romance. You’ve gotta love Joaquin’s new clean look, though (and it goes well with the TWLOHA suicide prevention campaign)! (via)

Blogging With Suzy Menkes

Revolutionizing the media and the news, blogging is the new it. Everyone has to blog to be. Blog or micro-blog (that’s tweeting fyi), is finally a question of fashion and blogging (and bloggers biensur) finally gets its rightfully merited attention (or is it that maybe talking about blogs/blogging is a la mode right now? Hmmm). Here’s the reputed Suzy Menkes with her view on the blogging phenomenon!

When the simple truth is that people, especially the ones at the top aren’t really used to receiving actual feedback, authentic and non staged, there’s no need to say that the world has changed and blogging does that. No, no! People do that! The (real) world does that!

I’m trying to look beyond this micro/macro blogging phenomenon and believe there’s something good lying there. Something better than endorsements and events green cards. No, I’m an incurable optimist and I believe in the power of the truth. In the power of the mind behind the blogged word. I believe that as long as they feed us with the proper subjects, we’ll deliver an honest and (for some) original view on what’s going on on this side of the barricade. Because let us not be fooled into this so-called fashion democracy and one Fashion Republic for all: they live in their ivory towers and we, well… we just like using computers and socializing sans the silver spoon. Don’t we? (via)

Claudia Schiffer’s Baby Bump

Oh, baby bump watch, how I missed thee! And who better to watch during that wonderful (and so very loooooong) time of being pregnant than a super model? Claudia Schiffer is pregnant (with her third child!) and she’s looking like this!

Claudia is due in May so that puts her right in the middle of this splendid time in a woman’s life: the pregnancy. Which puts her right under the question sign: what are those models made of? I mean, look at her, look at Heidi! Models mothers are not humans, I tell you! (photos via)

Having A Blue Hair Day?

Do you really think a magazine cover with your face on or your monthly column in Harper’s Bazaar could make your day brighter? Happier? Tavi disagrees!

You must remember Tavi – the fashion blogger prodigy who’s about to change the way we see blogging, fashion and everything else. She’s having a serious case of the blues! And by serious, I mean from tip to toes, from hair to bathroom towels! That’s how blue she is! Blue, Dah bad dee, dah bah dah! (photo via)

Raquel Zimmermann’s Alexander McQueen Spring Summer 2010 Ad Campaign

Hello puny humans! Mighty Alexander McQueen salutes thee! And because you’re not worthy of seeing his alien creative self, you’re granted with this magical sight: the Spring Summer 2010 ad campaign with Raquel Zimmermann!

We do not know yet if any creature (the girl or the snakes) was harmed during the making of this campaign (photographed by Nick Knight) but we’re happy that the ad didn’t require for Raquel to stand up. We all know how wonderfully comfortable those shoes are, don’t we? (click photo to see larger image!)(photo via)
