Now let’s get the obvious details out of the way: Madonna’s MDG Sunglasses Ad Campaign was photographed by Steven Klein and it’s using the old-school Madonna. With a new, trendy makeover – Madonna the cougar. Which shouldn’t surprise anyone since it’s the ongoing latest fashion (SATC 2? Cougar Town the TV series? Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher? I could go on, but I think you get the big picture by now – her Madgesty is still sniffing the trends and we love her for that). The iPad catwalk goes further into foraying the unknown and boldly going where no one has ever gone before: exploring new ways of not being separated from your beloved iPad even when you’re wearing a little black dress or a simple tee.

Emma Summerton’s Vogue Italy May 2010 pictorial is pure delight. Aesthetically perfect and conceptually surprising, Sasha Pivovarova’s Love is in the Hair transposed the best of Sasha’s drama queen alter ego on paper. Isn’t she lovely? Lovely Emma Watson (you knew that was coming, didn’t you?) was all prettied up for the National Movie Awards 2010 (held in London). Much to my surprise, she was again wearing something white. (remember the MET Gala 2010? Or even the National Movie Awards 2009?)
This time it wasn’t Burberry, though it may have been the logical choice. She’s wearing a white jumpsuit signed by Karl Lagerfeld from the Spring Summer 2010 collection. Embellished with sequins, the jumpsuit was pretty enough to keep her looking fresh and nice for yet another official Red Carpet mission. So she’s on to some-Chanel thing after all? (photos via 1, 2)
Halston Chiffon Lurex Ruffle Dress, My New Obsession

Every now and then, I tend to make unhealthy fixations. It’s all going smooth as silk when it comes to obsessing about strawberries, dried fruits or even chocolate. Things get rough when it comes to wardrobe obsessions. Especially when my latest fixation is the Halston Chiffon-Lurex Ruffle dress!
And not just because it looks so gorgeous it should be forbidden, and also because I couldn’t wear it all day long being a special occasion dress. But most of all, most of all, because it only costs a whopping $3,435 (regardless of it being white or purple)! Good things are sometimes hard to get, but four figures hard for a (more-than-beautiful) dress? Oh, what have I done to manifest such fixations? Help, please? Anyone else feeling the same? (not about the Halston dress, maybe some other thing, just as un-spiritual as this one?)
Marc Jacobs Vacation: Shorts And Hermes Birkin

When you’re in vacation, you have to think and wear light. For your luggage sake and everyone else’s. I promise myself I’ll go light every single time. I just can’t. What, a mother of three can’t pack her high heels for a family vacation? I like to carry my high heels everywhere, at least they’ll have the travel fun if not the wearing fun.
Now let’s get back to our subject here: Marc Jacobs. Designer extraordinaire, model extraordinaire (without clothes only!), Marc is wearing his white shirt and a pair of short pants for a bit of yacht vacation fun. It’s pretty impressive what goes on around Karen Elson’s musical debut. Not only she’s been featured in magazines spreads but she also had some truly talented lenses focusing on her.
Take this Vogue instant – Frock & Roll it’s a story about Karen Elson, her husband Jack White and her band. All of it photographed by Annie Leibovitz! How often do you get the chance to model for Annie Leibovitz? The photos have that epic feeling we’re used to see in every Leibovitz photo-product bonus the band-on-the-road aftertaste. It took some time, but we finally have it! The Givenchy bride dress made especially for Lara Stone’s wedding.
She’s beautiful, but then again, every bride is! I admit I wouldn’t have imagined it to be like that – I was thinking about something more… covered. But hey, it’s Lara Stone, right?
