Nelly Furtado’s Flare Canada July 2010
June 1st, 2010 by kpriss
We all know it by now: there’s Photoshop and then there’s Photoshop. You just can’t go on abusing your computer-given enhancement technique without wisely dosing the maneuvers. Especially for a magazine cover! And especially when someone famous involved!
Nelly Furtado covers Flare, a Canadian fashion magazine, for their July 2010 issue. Sounds perfect. We haven’t had the Nelly pleasure for quite some time now and she’s a gorgeous lady. And that’s why I would’ve preferred seeing her like she is instead of some heavily airbrushed clone. (the story continues right after the jump with more images and a video preview of the magazine!)

Coach Bloggers Bags Vs. Lancel Bloggers Bag
June 1st, 2010 by kpriss
Fashion is all over bloggers. From the first row to the written word, the bloggers invasion is en cours.
Here’s to it: Coach has a new line of handbags designed by a handful of fashion bloggers ready to hit stores (if it hasn’t happened already). Back in the Old Europe, Lancel has commissioned 4 style and fashion bloggers to design a single spectacular bag, Lancel limited edition “Bise en Ville” (kiss in the city). Cameron Diaz UK Vogue July 2010
May 31st, 2010 by kpriss
Cameron Diaz – I missed her on the cover of a magazine lately! Now that she has a new movie coming out, she’s eligible for a Vogue cover. Surprisingly – Vogue UK!
Cameron’s golden cover for July’s 2010 issue of Vogue UK isn’t much of a stunner: yes, she’s a gorgeous woman, yes, that golden Balmain jacket brings the sun on the newsstands but also feels a bit too much. What I love the most about her pictorial, however, is that she’s not Photoshopped beyond recognition! You can actually see wrinkles on Cameron’s face! Not all of them, biensur, but a good dose of comforting signs of her infamous wide smile/laugh. Can you see them? (photos via)

Karl Lagerfeld’s 3 Suisses Vs. Palombo’s Vanity Karl
May 31st, 2010 by kpriss
There’s something tragically serious and somber about Karl Lagerfeld’s work. Sometimes. Sometimes he’s just ridiculously, ridiculously funny. And we love him for that!
Karl Lagerfeld is getting his high street fashion fix. Sort of. 3 Suisses has a special Fall Winter 2010 moment with the Kaiser. And he’s getting his photo-fix with them too, via Iris Strubegger. (the story continues right after the jump with more images!)
Style Is In The Details
May 31st, 2010 by kpriss
The funniest part about street style is its Forrest Gump potential. Street style is like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re gonna get next! I surely wasn’t ready for this!
Ladies and gents of style, I give you Natalie from Madrid! You may not see it right away, but I assure you, Natalie’s style is well hidden in the details of her very outfit: keep a sharp eye on her and you’ll see just what I mean! Jeans vest trend check! head piece trend check! skinny jeans trend check! unisex tee trend check! now there goes the trickiest: have you seen her bag? It’s a Loewe, sure, but it’s the care bag, not the actual Loewe bag… Wait, there’s more! Have you seen the shoes? Watch’em right after the jump (and cast your vote after the last image)! (photos via)

Kia’s Soul
May 31st, 2010 by kpriss
It’s definitely an ad-day here! You know I can’t help it – each time I run into something funny, I have to bring it over! It’s happening again with this Kia Soul ad!
Yes, it’s a car! And yes, those are hamsters! Talking, rapping, playing drums and dancing around! Funny and lighthearted, regardless the looks of the car, this ad will most definitely hit the young targeted audience. Wouldn’t say so? (via)
Katherine Heigl’s Harper’s Bazaar June July 2010
May 31st, 2010 by kpriss
Harper’s Bazaar double issue June/July 2010 comes with a shiny, happy cover, but not much content to go with it (despite the cover text overload).
Katherine Heigl, as radiant and pretty as ever makes a lady-like cover and a 60s bourgeois resort pictorial inside (something you’ve already seen in Louis Vuitton’s last collection and more), accompanied by a special article in which she talks about her daughter and – what else – her movies (you can read it here). That’s also the reason she’s doing this Harper’s issue: she has a movie coming out this June (Killers with Ashton Kutcher). These photos provide the perfect example of how too much pretended simplicity can go straight to dull and bring a magazine summer (double) issue down. How’d they get it so wrong?

Gwen Stefani’s Manicure And Pedicure With Son Kingston
May 31st, 2010 by kpriss
If Gwen Stefani really is pregnant again, let us all cross fingers and hope for a girl! One whom she’d be able to take along at the mani – pedi and carry out wearing nails lacquer on without having to creep us all out!
Because, regardless of how conservative I might sound, seeing a 4-year-old with bleached hair, black nails and multicolored toe nails, gives me the chills. Little rocker boy, eh, Gwen? (photos via)
