Kate Moss For Longchamp Fall 2010 Bags Collection

Kate Moss is my favorite serial collection “designer” – there she goes with her second collection for Longchamp. Which is perfectly fine with us, as long as she looks civilized and put together (and the bags are affordable – that’s another story altogether, so let’s leave it to the first for now). She must be really busy, with all that Topshop collections work piling up season after season, now Longchamp!

The Longchamp bags as designed by Kate Moss for the Fall Winter 2010/2011 collection look ready to use, pretty comfy and lasting. I wouldn’t mind trying few models myself (blushing). Would you? (via)

Megan Fox Does Interview June July 2010

It seems that the poor man’s Angelina, like our friend, Ellington, has nicknamed our prefabricated doll Megan Fox is getting her closet time, just like the real Angelina does (anyone seen more than one tabloid cover with Brangelina lately?).

She’s coming out, however, with an Interview for June/July 2010, looking all different for the cover and the pictorial. All photographed by Crain McDean and trying to picture the double life Megan is actually leading – professional and personal. Pretty interesting idea – sexing up the double life issue. It should be more of a drama, shouldn’t it? (there’s a video with more about the issue right after the jump!) (via)

World’s Oldest Sneaker

We’ve had the pleasure of seeing the world’s first push up bra a while back. Why should we deprive ourselves of the latest fash-archaeology discovery? A 5,500 year old sneaker has been discovered in a cave in Armenia.

Though it may not look like a sneaker from today, this is the oldest known-to-date closed shoe. I wonder when will they find world’s oldest style blog in a cave, somewhere, with day-after-day drawings of cavewomen/cavemen outfits! (via)

Zero 7 Destiny And Mr McGee

I’m such a funk addicted deep down in my heart. And I seem to have a weakness for weird music. I remember my Massive Attack / Portishead days and shivers come down my spine. Also – I looooove European (read British) music. I know I told you that before, but it keeps getting back to me.

My latest obsession is Zero 7. I wish I could’ve made a rational video choice and bring you my current playlist loop pieces. Instead, I have to go for the best of what they actually made a video of. Zero 7 Destiny is a pretty interesting video, all animation. Thank you for this yet another amazing week with me! You’re great! And I hope you have an equally super weekend too! (more info right after the jump!)

Would You Use Mobile Phone Charging Wellies?

I’ve repeatedly made no secret of my love for wellies. Sure, I got me a black noname pair to carelessly walk in the mud, however, I still dream about a pair of black Hunters to frame and stare at – I wouldn’t dare stuff my Hunters in the mud, that’d be inappropriate for something I dreamed of for so long.

However, I think that even Hunter can benefit from this new “invention”: the Orange Power Wellies. Using clean and renewable energy to create electricity to charge your beloved mobile devices is something quite noteworthy. The unique soles are the very mechanism creating the necessary electricity: thermoelectric modules, interconnected are sandwiched between two ceramic wafers. The heat from the foot applied on one side and the cold from the ground on the other side, electricity is instantly generated. I don’t know much about physics, but I know this much: the mobile phone charging wellies can be an interesting addition for the festivals season… Would you use them? (via)

Snake Venom As Beauty Product

It seems there’s a snake poison out there that’s good for our skin. Somewhat. Rodial, a British beauty brand, is working with such technologically simulated poison under the name of syn-ake. What’s it supposed to do? In short – it paralyzes the facial muscles – result? No wrinkles.

There’s more than Rodial’s syn-ake poison-like product (which can also be found in Kumaara’s Overnight Repair Complex) – there’s Sonya Dakar, in Beverly Hills who actually works with snake venom facial products. Would you use snake venom (or synthetic venom) to prevent the appearance of wrinkles? (via)

Christy Turlington’s No Woman, No Cry

Chirsty Turlington is worldwide famous for her supermodel days. Now she’s trying to get trough as a filmmaker. No Woman, No Cry is a very special documentary following the issues related to childbirth (the social/financial issues) around the world.

How she came to this subject? By becoming a mother herself and facing childbirth complications though she didn’t expect any. So from there on, with time and resources, Christy Turlington Burns has put together this documentary, treating the pre/post natal care system from the United States to Guatemala, Bangladesh and Tanzania. There’s so much to be done in maternal health, it’s hard to believe Christy’s film (distributed only in film festival circuits) will actually change something.

It’s great she’s bringing this to light, it’s not an easily accessible topic, especially in countries like Guatemala and Bangladesh (or Tanzania). Hopefully her dedication and her being oh-so-famous will help women receive better assistance when they really need it. It’s our future, don’t you want to do something for the children of tomorrow? Dare To Wear The Reclaimed Soccer Ball Bag?

With only hours till FIFA’s World Cup debut (see, I’m into it now!) it feels so natural that soccer fans all around the world jump for joy at the sight of this Reclaimed Soccer Ball Bag. It’s either that, or they’re waiting for a Vuitton to happen!

Handmade in Germany, this reclaimed soccer ball is made of an actual soccer ball nylon strap and a metal snap. There’s an inside pocked made of reclaimed truck-tarp material. Inside markings of the ball’s previous owner can also be seen on the inside of these one of a kind bags. Now I can’t think of anyone in my immediate proximity who’d want this $88 soccer ball bag (and I wouldn’t have enough room in it to stuff tons of toys, diapers and so on), maybe you can? (the bag is available here, via)
