Would You Wear The Irish Dance Socks?
July 7th, 2010 by kpriss
Remember the Converse socks? Get ready for the Irish Dance Socks! Available in women sizes only, the Irish Dance socks look fit for our beloved Coco Rocha! She’s the dance specialist on the catwalk, right?
Anyways they’d make a pretty interesting addition to your socks drawer, I’m sure! And they’re available for $8,95, guaranteed to bring a smile, that’s what they say! How about you? Would you wear them? (via)
Kate Moss For Isabel Marant Fall 2010 Ad Campaign
July 7th, 2010 by kpriss
This shouldn’t steal your attention. It’s an ordinary looking young woman, slender, sure, but nothing sophisticated. Also the café and the smoky ashtray near her would most certainly suggest a café break during work hours more than an ad campaign.
However, the slender, ordinary looking woman is Kate Moss and this is the Fall Winter 2010 2011 ad campaign for Isabel Marant. Well, the avantgout. Strange. How do you like it? (I definitely have something against these strangely tinted skinny jeans. Not many silhouettes can pull that print and cut decently). (via)
More Skeletal DSquared2 Shoes
July 7th, 2010 by kpriss
You know they’re coming in strong, you have been warned! DSquared2 skeletal stilettos are definitely the new Tributes! Everybody wants a piece from the spine bones shaped heels!
Even pregnant women! Right after the jump, you’ll see a pair of black skeletal DSquared2 who belong (and they’re actually worn by her in the image) to Alicia Keys! And she is currently pregnant and on tour. So? What more reason do you need to get yours? I’m actually curious how they stand on the comfy 0 to 5 scale, since on the trends scale, they’re way beyond 10! (photos via 1, 2)
Givenchy Haute Couture Fall Winter 2010 2011
July 7th, 2010 by kpriss
There’s something about this Givenchy Haute Couture Fall Winter 2010 2011 collection. The decomposed luxury, the decadent sparkling costumes make it all look and feel out of this galaxy.
It’s ridiculously good looking and yet, if you take it piece by piece, there’s nothing more spectacular in this collection than the elaborate embroidery looking very much like curtains art. Very expensive, exclusive curtains embroidery, biensur. However, this reminds me of my young years when I was playing dress-up with curtains and fabrics I found in my mother’s closet. Oh, how I treasured that closet! Givenchy, I love thee, let me count the ways! So what does this collection reminds you of? (photos via)
Vanessa Paradis Does Marie Claire UK August 2010
July 7th, 2010 by kpriss
I have a declared weakness for Vanessa Paradis, as you know. However, her last Marie Claire UK interview is pretty strange for my liking.
She’s gracing the August 2010 issue with images and words of wisdom about her (surprisingly personal subject) relationship with Johnny Depp. Besides having a deep respect for him on every level, Vanessa thinks that couples need time off to be able to maintain a sound, safe relationship. (the story continues right after the jump with more images!)

It’s the weekly obsession time, my sweet darlings! And I do hope you’ve been missing this one! It’s a happy tune, you know me, I like smiling and dancing – a bit of swing, a bit of jazz and lots of modern rhythms from the French Caravan Palace in their Bambous piece.

So have a happy, happy Hump Day, enjoy Caravan Palace’s Bambous! And if your reactions come through as positive, it’ll be a delight to come back and add some more infos right after the break. What do you say?
Jean Paul Gaultier Lingerie Collection With La Perla
July 6th, 2010 by kpriss
Now there’s an interesting collection. I love Jean Paul Gaultier, I love La Perla. Bringing the two together is a match made in lingerie heaven!
The only trouble is that this isn’t the kind of lingerie to be worn underneath your clothing. It’s the kind of hand made excellence you’d want to expose to the eyes of the world. Oh well, lucky Lady Gaga, she who wears lingerie as any occasion attire! (you haven’t heard me saying that, oh, no!) So 27 styles will be available this very November (with an avantgout in Gaultier’s couture show, tomorrow, July7), priced at $615 (bas and briefs) and $1,230 (corsets). Pretty couture, eh? (via)
Katie Holmes Holmes & Yang Sells $945 Blouses
July 6th, 2010 by kpriss
If you were wondering what Katie Holmes was up to lately – theatrically speaking – then please note that she’s up to her forehead in playing Jackie O. in The Kennedys miniseries. For the History Channel. Some say there’s more than a physical resemblance (really, now?) – that Katie Holmes is equally distinguished and elegant as Jackie was. (really, now, I ask again!)
So that kinda leads us to her Holmes & Yang fashion adventure. Details have been made public recently that the collections they’re working on are “classics with a twist”. Basics with a twist. The twist, I think, doesn’t come from a sartorial daring move but from the price tag. Some pieces as a suede and silk jacket pictured below retails for $3,375. A silk crepe de chine blouse costs $945, a Chantilly lace and Lycra silk dress is $2,750. Now that’s a serious four-figure twist, wouldn’t you say? (via)
