Rodarte For M.A.C Makeup Collection
July 21st, 2010 by kpriss
We’re trying to get used to the general insensitivity manifested by the fashindustry regarding some vital, crucial issues of life and more. When that picture of Selfridges McQueen window circulated, I felt as if there was nothing sacred for the fashpeople. Nothing seems to be keeping their morality on a cool level and play as low as only fashion will allow it.
This week, another fashnews appalled me and since I like debating things with you, I’ll just lay it flat: Rodarte worked on a special makeup collection with M-A-C. Nothing unusual, sad or regrettable up to this point. Au contraire.
However, the collection was inspired by some truly horrific happenings and they even went as far as naming some of the pieces: Juarez, Factory, Badlands, Quinceanera (teenager). Just how low can they go? (the story continues right after the jump with more images!)
Liv Tyler Striped Givenchy Blazer At Hopper Exhibition
July 21st, 2010 by kpriss
Remember that wonderful Givenchy striped blazer we were praising a while back? As expected, we weren’t the only ones dreaming about that beauty! Our beloved celebs don’t settle with dreaming, they’re also buying the thing.
Thus we’re graced with the opportunity of admiring the gorgeous Liv Tyler wearing the equally gorgeous Givenchy blazer. Too bad about the rest of the outfit though. (I know she was attending a pretty special exhibition dedicated to Dennis Hopper but even so, I’m sure she could’ve found something more appropriate for her age and beauty. Couldn’t she?) Marion Cotillard’s Interview August 2010
July 21st, 2010 by kpriss
One of the most unusual things about this Interview with Marion Cotillard on the cover of the August 2010 issue is that the article/interview is conducted by Nicole Kidman (Marion’s co-star from Nine).
The images were taken by Mikaen Jansson and the imagery reminds me very much of Public Enemies. Though Marion’s Interview should be about her latest, Inception. However, I’m delighted she’s featured in this issue and enchanted by the magic powers she seems have over Hollywood. Long live her good acting genes! Do you think her Hollywood roles diluted her? (more images right after the jump! Click here for the gallery!) (you can read her interview here; photos via)

What Courtney Wore Today Not Written By Courtney Love
July 19th, 2010 by kpriss
Though everyone (and their dog) have blog/facebook account/twitter account/myspace account and so forth nowadays, and every celebrity out there can be found on one of the above mentioned social e-interaction, Courtney Love doesn’t actually blog on her blog.
The over-applauded “whatcourtneyworetodaydotcom” features pictures and information about what Courtney Love wore this and that day. Without being written by Courtney Love herself. (side note – you have to love Gwen’s transition from furry bras to web tees. It’s all in the key of blue, however) (you can check out the Courtney Love non-written blog here)
iPad Must The Temple Leather iPad Case
July 19th, 2010 by kpriss
As much as you know I’d love an iPad (and oh-so-many iThings!), I’m deeply concerned by the safety and well-being of my (hypothetically owned) gadget. You should be too!
That’s why I came up with so many ideas to cover it up, pamper it, carry it everywhere. Nothing should stand between you and your iPad. Except, maybe.. a Temple bag? You know I’m a fan, you’ve seen me bathing in a sea of enthusiasm when I presented you a very beautiful Temple bag a while back. Now here’s the Temple iPad leather case! Say you don’t want this $186 beauty! I dare you! (via)
Gwen Stefani Wearing The New It Spiderweb T-Shirt
July 19th, 2010 by kpriss
You may remember this special t-shirt type from a previous subject we’ve talked through and through here: Miley Cyrus rocked a very similar tee some time back. Now since the webtee is a recurrent dressing theme in the rockers wardrobe, is it safe to assume it’ll soon transcend to the trendy it status?
I’m not easily inclined to pick Miley Cyrus as a rock star, however, she’s definitely an entertainer. As for Gwen Stefani, well, if she’s not entertaining, I don’t know what is! It’s time to bring out your dechirés girls! It’s raining rockstars! (photos via)
Comme Des Garcons Skirt. How Do You Like It?
July 17th, 2010 by kpriss
I came across this Comme des Garcons skirt and I had to bring it here. It looks pretty different when taken individually out the catwalk look. The runway makes up for any couture eccentricity, any hazardous cut. However, when you have to pay $1,558.60 for a woolen and polyurethane quilted skirt, questions come to mind.
And as much as I admire Rei Kawakubo’s sartorial genius, I have to challenge the DIY fashionistas out there – how can we make one of these in the comfort of our homes (and budgets)? (if you don’t know how to spend $1,558.60, however, try this Comme des Garcons skirt chez Colette!)
Martini Blu Campaign’s Ladies
July 17th, 2010 by kpriss
It’s an usual ad trick – pairing beautiful women and drinks. It’s a match made in advertising heaven. So we might as well take advantage of the aesthetics and delight our eyes with the new Martini Blu ladies.
For ladies, for drinks: Blu rosé, Blu hour, Blu event and Blu party. Each blue lady does the ad honors of replacing the corks of each of the four Martini bottles. Not very subtle, even if I appreciate the photographic aesthetics of the campaign (photographed by Emilio Tini for the Armando Testa ad agency). Which one is your favorite? I’ll go for Blue Event.
