Taylor Momsen’s Parlez Moi D’Amour John Galliano Perfume Ad
September 15th, 2010 by kpriss
Do you watch Gossip Girl? Because I think it’s really premature to ask you if you listen to The Pretty Reckless on a regular basis. Oh – that’s Taylor Momsen’s band, that’s what it is. The Pretty Reckless. And Taylor is rocking the life out of her with them!
However, I won’t get into a punk rock style discussion about Taylor Momsen’s singing ways, I’ll just say that the first images from her ad campaign for John Galliano’s latest fragrance “Parlez-Moi D’Amour” are out and she’s looking pretty…umm Reckless? The campaign was photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth (whose warmth and lenses-sensuality I simply adore) and it’s supposed to portray a rock chick moving from location to location in her singing engagements and being single and alone at all times except for this guy she’s falling for and who she’s writing to. The scent is expected to drop this October and it’ll be something blueberry-ish and musk-ish. I wonder what made Galliano choose Taylor – her corset? Her voice? Her acting? Her tender age? Hmmm (via)

Kate Moss In The US
September 15th, 2010 by kpriss
Have you ever been in the presence / proximity of a celebrity chased by photographers? It gets pretty scary and sometimes ugly. Especially if that celebrity is fighting and doesn’t want her picture to be taken.
Here’s Kate Moss at LAX (in 2008), being chased by a storm of paparazzi flashlights trying to make her way through, with her luggage and her daughter. Four long minutes making you wonder if this is really the golden life some many dream of! (what’s really bugging me is how she keeps hiding and looks visibly stressed by the paps taking her picture and doesn’t bother to keep her daughter safe from the same nosy crowd that’s making her so uncomfortable. Why’s that, Kate?) (via)
Perfect Outfit To Start The Fall With, Anja Rubik Style
September 15th, 2010 by kpriss
When I grow up, I want to be like Anja Rubik! I love this girl! If you take a look, you’ll understand my feelings completely!
Remember this summer I was completely mesmerized by that short jeans white tank top simple outfit as worn by Joan Smalls? Well, Anja Rubik’s black short and khaki shirt is the early fall outfit perfection correspondent of that laid back casual impeccable summer outfit! Sure, with Anja’s silhouette, anything looks great on her and looks no less than divine (in my books). What do you think? Is it too much? Too short? Too perfect? (nah, there’s no poll for this one! It’s perfection without a shadow of a doubt!) (photo via)

Chanel Iman Does Flare October 2010
September 15th, 2010 by kpriss
You told me about it, I searched for it so here it goes: charming Chanel Iman on the cover of Canada’s Flare magazine, the October 2010 issue. I’m sure her lovely smile makes the Canadian fall far sunnier than it usually is!
The inside pictorial is more abrupt and outfit concentrated. However, I have to be sincere and admit that half the time, all I could look at, in Chanel’s Flare’s pictures, was her fire red pony tail extension. It goes great with the chosen outfits and compliments Chanel’s playful, joyful appearance. Not to mention that (what looks to be a) coral red Stella McCartney wool sweater dress – it really caught my heart, let alone my eyes! How about you, what’s your outfit of choice from this issue of Flare? (Flare via)
Wonderbra’s New 3D Ad Billboard
September 14th, 2010 by kpriss
I’m an old fashion girl through and through but I love me some high tech immersions from time to time. I wouldn’t mind having some of last minute’s gadgets in my very own household. To have. And to hold. And to treasure and use whenever I wish. Wouldn’t you?
Now please help me solve this dilemma: do the people of the big cities have a special 3D viewing enhancement? Like some permanent thing or accessory they could use or switch to when needed? Because I can’t see the point of this squeaky brand new Wonderbra billboard that has been mounted near London’s Waterloo Station. Looks great, very much Wonderbra (featuring Brazilian model Sabraine Banado) and very much 3D.
If I look at it from the 2D perspective, am I deprived of some advertorial qualities that’ll make my world twist and turn under the Wonderbra spin effect?
Emma Watson Is Thrilled With People Tree’s Spring Summer 2011 Collection
September 14th, 2010 by kpriss
What’s Emma Watson up to lately? No, this is not another hair chop piece, thankfully, she seems to be perfectly happy with her last crop. This is about fashion, daahlings!
About Emma Watson’s fashinvolvement with People Tree. Believe it or not, she’s already at her third season with the 100% organic label. While they were sustainably showing their Spring Summer 2011 Collection, Emma expressed her fashionable and ethical support through a video. We’re thrilled for Emma and her fashion ways. And she’s thrilled too (you can see the proof right after the jump!). Yes. Ethical and fair trade fashion can make you thrilled too, right? (via)
Love Hats? Own Hats? Display Hats!
September 14th, 2010 by kpriss
There’s been a serious hat madness around for the last couple of years, right? Not that there was anything wrong with wearing a hat even before that, it just that when it’s a fashion hit, it’s a fashion hit, you can’t fight it!
I’m a sucker for scarves and ginormous head pieces. Can’t really do hats because I can’t drive while wearing one (have you? I tried and I basically felt like a mushroom to my biggest sadness since I really loved the hat and I was having a horribly bad hair day) plus I can’t be that hat-cool while chasing toddlers around the park or anywhere else. Enough about me, let it be known that I admire all of you hat wearers out there and I wish I could be in your hat! Properly! Now please hit the jump to see just how you could make my greenest envy pop up if ever I came by your place and you would exhibit such style melting, décor statement hat display! How do you keep your hats? (via)
