Louis Vuitton Pre Fall 2011. Wide Leg Pants The It Pants For 2011

If you had any doubts, here’s the Louis Vuitton pre fall 2011 collection to wash them all away! The king of all trends, the crowned commander of commercial fashion, Marc Jacobs stepped down, as usual, for the mi – season, and let Julie De Libran come through with her pre fall propositions.

Seventies and thirties, wide leg pants and sheer glamour. Feminine, lovely and then some. Again, I usually can’t help but admire mr Marc Jacobs’ inspiration and fashion perspective in the main season collections but now there’s Julie de Libran’s pre fall to admire too. Louis Vuitton will continue to be a bestseller, as already demonstrated by the recent fashion magazines styling choices. And who are we to say le contraire? (you can see the entire collection here here)

Alexander McQueen Spring Summer 2011, Lindsey Wixson And The Butterflies

Though this is not officially an Alexander McQueen ad campaign and it will only be used for promotional purposes in the stores and on the website, I had to talk about it. Because I’m loving it. In a strange kind of way.

It’s not Lindsey Wixson‘s face (which I’m not particularly fond of, in any case), it’s not even the dress (although it’s very couture – ish without being too princess – ish). Not even the butterflies (even if they’re heavenly). It’s a mix of all three. A strange dream – like situation deeper than the paper size of the print. How do you feel this non – campaign for the Alexander McQueen Spring Summer 2011 collection? (there also a photoshopped image with Sasha Pivovarova making the rounds of the interwebs, you can check it out after the jump) (photos via)

Liberty London, Mulberry Leather MacBook Sleeve

Due to recent events and unhappy technical malfunctions, I feel beyond the daydreaming phase today. And not because my laptop has upstaged the brick phase of its (non)existence. Oh, no! Because I reconsidered my energies and guided them towards more positive horizons. Like … the Apple store! (smiling bright with the heart full of hope)

Unfortunately I’m not at the Mac buying period of my life – this was planned for another moment. Fortunately, I’m left planning and budgeting the best of the best in apparel and accessories. (yes, it’s another way of daydreaming) So I came to find (in the UK Apple Store) that Liberty London and Apple joined hands and creative efforts creating an embossed leather sleeve for the MacBook Pro.

Audrey Marnay’s Longchamp Spring Summer 2011 Ad Campaign

This is just too good to be true! I was looking for the latest ad campaigns and this Longchamp Spring Summer 2011 ad fell into my hands. And I can’t miss the amazing opportunity to talk about it!

Starring Audrey Marnay, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, the image suggests me an oasis of (unnecessary) fashion in the middle of nowhere. Pretty but also pretty useless. What am I to do with a gorgeous leather bag canoeing on an endless sea? Oh, I think I get it – Longchamp is what you need on a deserted island / world, isn’t it? (photo via)

Nicole Kidman Used Botox. Now She’s Over

Now I know why the sudden snow storms all around: Nicole Kidman admitted to having used Botox!

After years and years of living in denial, Nicole finally made her Botox coming out! However, if you take a look at her, you’ll see that she’s going from one extreme to another – now she’s claiming she doesn’t do anymore Botox. Woman, you think we’re blind? (via)

I’ve tried a lot of things but apart from working out and a good diet most things don’t help, […] I even tried Botox but I didn’t like how my face looked afterwards. Now I don’t use it anymore – and I can move my forehead again.

Karl Lagerfeld’s Window World For Chanel

Every now and then, a new short video from Karl Lagerfeld comes to us. And we, mere mortals, confronted with the genius of his fashion (and more) perspective, we have to decipher the meanings and the directions of his artistic views.

It is happening again, with Window World, a short film signed by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel. Starring Madgalena Frackowiak, Barbara Dvorakova and, biensur, Baptiste Giabiconi. As creepy as it is, Karl’s fashion sense must hide something higher, some deeper meaning, something more profound than my shallow fasheye gets. Can anyone break this shortie in a fashionable manner, please? (via)

Kate Moss Pregnant? Maybe

Rumors have been circling around that Kate the fashqueen Moss could be pregnant. She and Jamie Hince (her rumored husband) were recently seen sunbathing in Thailand.

We’re now confronted with Kate Moss and her belly dilemma – baby bump or Thai food? This isn’t the first time we’re speculating about Kate Moss and her possibly pregnant self. I’ll let the speculations aside and just take a moment, dream about the sunny Thailand. Now for a reality check, a short look out the window : brrrr! (on a side note – is this the baby bump season, or what? Kate Hudson is also expecting, it appears) (photos via)

Natalie Portman’s InStyle February 2011

If you needed more proof that Natalie Portman is actually in style (besides having wrote about her twice in the same day), there you go: her InStyle February 2011 cover.

It looks pretty Christmas’y, but I don’t really mind, a smile can make me forget a lot of things. Event the dumbness and imperfection premise many fashmagazines out there operate under. They think whoever picks the magazine needs at least 3-4 or even 7 ways to improve their chic-ness, at least few secrets for bettering up and at least 20 ways to say I love you. And to think I used to get InStyle few years back. It feels like another life, completely. What magazines did you used to buy and gave up in the recent years? (oh, and why?) (InStyle via)
