Dean Martin That’s Amore
February 20th, 2011 by kpriss
I wonder how have I ever missed this one? Dean Martin‘s That’s Amore is just as classic as the pizza or the very pasta he’s singing about!
I’m having a case of the horrid flu that’s taking everyone down for tea and napkins maintenance. Hoping it’ll go away really fast, I chose this positive, happy, so very popular tune to make all bad things good and bright. Singing and dancing around can do that to a person, you know? How was your week? And your soon to end weekend? I’m hoping it was all shiny and joyful and that your soon to begin week will be an amazing one!
Kate Moss Longchamp Collection Spring Summer 2011 Ad Campaign
February 17th, 2011 by kpriss
Now ever since my baby arrived, I’m off tiny crossbody bags and back into my humongous totes days. It’s easier, you know, for diapers, soothers, change clothes, and much, much more. So I’m naturally on a lookout for lovely tote bags.
Now Kate Moss for Longchamp Spring Summer 2011 Collection not only looks lovely and it is signed by a famous model but it also made me dream about hot summer days and beach trips. Which I tend to dream a lot these blizzard days! I wonder if Kate Moss did her education in fashion and fashion making chez Topshop and then flew off to Longchamp, but whatever it is that made her ink the deal with the latter, I’m thankful for it!

ADAM Fall Winter 2011 2012 Collection
February 17th, 2011 by kpriss
Rooting in the very American history, the new Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection from Adam Lippes’ ADAM is surprisingly wearable and likable for a catwalk .
If you’re looking for the main coordinates think plaid, feathers, sheer and uni colored ensembles. Like the one you’ll find right after the jump. There’s also a general geek-eness to the ADAM FW 2011 2012 catwalk, only pinched here and there by lace and see through garments. (images from the entire collection here)
Martha Stewart For Chanel. Wait, What?
February 17th, 2011 by kpriss
Did you know that Martha Stewart was a model back in the 60s? Yep, yes she was! And not for a mail catalog fashion business, oh, no! She used to model for Chanel! For Chanel, hear that?
She’s modest and all about it, saying that it was just a one summer thing and she used the model gigs money to get her through college, but hey, the facts remain that Martha Stewart was a model. And she can also cook. Heavenly, I might add! How awesome is that? (via)
3.1 Phillip Lim Fall Winter 2011 2012 Collection
February 17th, 2011 by kpriss
Yesterday I was trying to pick on a new designer collection from the Fall Winter 2011 2012 season to include in our daily musings. I had such a hard time prioritizing and choosing the “right one”, the one show which deserved to be more highlighted than others!
Then I remembered I used to do a “wishlist” from all the catwalk collections a while back. Why not try something similar, with an egotastic touch? I’ll be covering all the collections, only the difference is that I’ll only pick one, two or however many models I find representative for my taste and hypothetical wearability. I’m taking the long, alphabetical road to the Fall Winter 2011 2012 season. My perspective. Shall we? 3.1 Phillip Lim, my daahlings! (images from the entire collection here)
Diane Von Furstenberg’s Home Collection
February 17th, 2011 by kpriss
I’m in an interior decoration mood these days so I couldn’t have missed Diane Von Furstenberg‘s presentation of her home collection. Beautiful plates, bakeware and so much more designer kitchen goodies, as described by Diane von Furstenberg herself as very eclectic.
The table is all about love, she said. It’s all about mixing different shapes and colors. Because every lunch / dinner / breakfast is a party and you can be oh – so stylish at home too, a $70 platter is so excusable! I too, however, agree that bakeware that you can bring straight at the table is just great! Don’t miss the video right after the jump! (via ; the collection is available here)

Vera Wang Fall Winter 2011 2012 Collection
February 17th, 2011 by kpriss
Oh, if only young ladies today could wear Vera Wang! Their rebellious fashion ways is fully represented by the new Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection!
Parkas (or more accurately said half parkas) or evening maxi dresses with hoods and elbow long gloves, that’s something you don’t see everyday. Vera Wang takes your every day princess and adds some couture rock’n roll to it. And boy, do I like it! Maxi dresses, flowy fabrics, intricate details, there’s so much sartorial effort in Vera Wang’s collection! What’s your favorite look from the show? (I’ll go with Saskia de Brauw dark gray maxi dress with black ruffled collar vest) (click through for more images, don’t miss the video right after the jump; you can see pictures from the entire collection here)
Brad Goreski, Demi Moore’s New Stylist
February 16th, 2011 by kpriss
Trouble in stylists Heaven I sense. Demi Moore, the Hollywood’s forever young beauty (with a little help from the good doctor’s office, yes, I know) seems to have a change of stylist mind. She used to be with Rachel Zoe. But now it appears that she switched over to Rachel’s renegade assistant – Brad Goreski.
Motifs are not yet known so we cannot justify the sudden change, but Demi is a smart, grown up woman, I’m sure she has a good explanation for this. Or maybe she doesn’t. She doesn’t have to answer to anyone, after all, Demi is a fearless, fearless woman! (check out the video after the jump to hear Zoe saying all the good things about Demi).
Also – check out the fabulous Brad Goreski from New York Fashion Week. Priceless! And to think leopard print is demode? ugh! (via, photos via)
