Vidal Sassoon’s Home
March 17th, 2011 by kpriss
I’m on a nesting spree lately and, like many others, take the paper crafting trend very seriously. The trouble with paper crafting is, that you cannot use paper as furniture. Or architectural detailing. You can only use paper crafting for accents. Stylish, funny and personalized accessories in your living space.
Whenever I see something inspirational, I rush in and publish all the details that caught my eye. And in Vidal Sassoon’s house there are so many! Click through to convince yourself!
Vogue Paris, Germany, Spain Love Dolce & Gabbana White Dress
March 16th, 2011 by kpriss
Remember that stunningly beautiful Dolce & Gabbana catwalk? The Spring Summer 2011 one? Oh, how I loved it! I wish I could have the necessary arrangements to accommodate it all in my wardrobe! sigh!
Three Vogue covers stand by my aesthetic and sustain my perspective by choosing a white Dolce & Gabbana dress from the Spring Summer 2011 collection to dress their cover models:
Vogue Paris April 2011, the first issue under Emmanuelle Alt with Gisele Bundchen on the cover, Vogue Germany April 2011 with Britt Maren and Vogue Spain’s February 2011 cover with Constance Jablonski. All three photographed each by a different photographer, with a different stylist and in different circumstances. How is that fashion – good? (if you ask me, it’s not, it’s just proof that stylists are only human, thus having human likings and Vogue is just another fashion magazine sifting on the same trends and influences). Which one is your favorite? (click through for larger images!)
Colette’s Mariniere Away Kit. I Want To Join The French Football Team
March 16th, 2011 by kpriss
Let me just state one thing clear – I’ve never been a fan of sports. Actually, I loosely describe myself as a lazy person when it comes to sportive physical activity. I know it’s far from being a good attitude, but it’s who I am (for now). The only exception is tennis – which I love to practice, if given time and opportunity, with my Adored Husband.
Now when I look at this Colette Away Kit for the French National Football Team, I feel my fashheart fluttering with emotion! The Breton Top everywhere! The Mariniere iPhone? Irresistible! The Mariniere Lonchamp Pliage? Amazing! The Mariniere YSL makeup kit? I’d use it all day, every day, even when I go to bed! And Laduree Macaroons? Come on, you have to be kidding me! I wouldn’t open the box, that’s how lovely it looks! Hit the jump and pick your favorite Colette Mariniere item! (via)

Freja Beha Erichsen Covers Vogue Brazil March 2011
March 15th, 2011 by kpriss
I’m going through a Freja period. Me and the entire fashion industry. In fact, the fashindustry may already be out of Freja flavor (we know Arizona Muse was having a huge moment and so was Abbey Lee Kershaw. So maybe Freja is already last season. Either way, I’m loving her versatility).
So Freja Beha Erichsen covers Vogue Brazil March 2011. And that wouldn’t be much, aside the amazing model cover she makes. However, this is so different from the Freja we know and we’re used to seeing – androgynously slender and unhappily tummy aching (you know, fashion’s most beloved pose).
Photographer Henrique Gendre. This cover is great on so many levels, I don’t know where to begin – it’s fabulously tacky and leopard – cheap, the hair is adorably un – done, the makeup is seductively eyeliner – full and she looks imperfectly perfect. How do you like Freja? More on the vamp size like here or the usual over skinny androgynous look? (photo via)
Kate Moss Dior The Iconic Lipstick Ad Campaign
March 15th, 2011 by kpriss
Did you miss Kate Moss? Come on, I know you did! How about Christian Dior? (yes, we’re talking about the under Galliano years). Well here you have another special, precious moment with Kate Moss for Dior.
The advertising campaign Dior Addict The Iconic Lipstick capitalizes on Kate Moss ability to stand up and be a model even after all these years of non – catwalk activity, on her enduring style in the fashion industry. (and if I wasn’t such a non – lipstick person, I would’ve clashed for the Iconic myself. Especially that shade. It looks so… iconic?) Don’t miss the video right after the jump! (photo via)
Albino Fall Winter 2011 2012 Collection
March 14th, 2011 by kpriss
The clean, severe cuts are de retour with Albino Fall Winter 2011 2012 Collection. The overall gray brings another coat of severe – ness to the Albino catwalk. Luckily, the colorful inserts come and rescue the mood of the tableau.
I love how they’re sneaking into an outfit, perfidiously insinuating their joy and loud voice on the Albino catwalk. And most of all, I love that they’re actually winning – hurray for a colorful zig – zag finale! After every winter comes spring, right? (images from the entire collection here)
Alberta Ferretti Fall Winter 2011 2012 Collection
March 14th, 2011 by kpriss
It’s hard to imagine a collection that started with such strangely strong colors and clear cuts finishing with a bohemian touch. You’d have to see Alberta Ferretti‘s Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection to believe there’s a sartorial coherence and an aesthetic cohesion in all that.
And there really is. A strange fusion, a symbiotic relation between the sixties inspired hypnotic daywear and the flowery, lacey works from the second part of the Alberta Ferretti show. I loved almost every single design and I had a hard time actually choosing few favorites. I’m torn between the electrified daywear and the intriguing details of the evening outfits. Which ones were your favorites? (images from the entire collection here)
