Comme Des Garcons Spring Court Sneakers
March 18th, 2011 by kpriss
You know how I always chase around for comfy – er sneakers. I’m a comfort loving individual, deep inside my fashionable, stiletto loving self! Don’t tell that to anyone! Posh may be seen wearing flats more often than I! (yeah, right!)
Anyway, my flats, sneakers loving self decided it was time for some green – something these St Pat’s days. So there I go with Comme des Garcons Spring Court Beatles sneakers. Why they’re called the Beatles and not iSneakers since they have an apple on them, you say? Well, because the recording company founded by the Beatles is called Apple Corps Ltd! Besides, there’s no bite on the apple, duh!
Part of the Spring Summer 2011 collection, these lovely, simple white canvas lace sneakers can be yours for just $189! (oh, and if nobody believes they’re called The Beatles, just turn the other side and show them the black on white writing!)
Karl Lagerfeld Sketches For Chanel Sa Vie, Justine Picardie’s Book
March 18th, 2011 by kpriss
Sometimes the Kaiser amazes me. And he doesn’t even have to speak in order to achieve that! Besides having to draw so many collections per season and photograph so many shoots (not only for his maisons but also for various fashion magazines), he has time to read and to sketch.
We know he reads because he has repeatedly told us that (and because his house / studio is stuffed with books) and we know he sketches (not just for the catwalk collections) because well… see below! It’s a Karl Lagerfeld authentic drawing for Justine Picardie‘s Chanel Sa Vie book that’s scheduled to appear next week (the French edition, the German is scheduled for April and the English edition for June).
This is, of course, a luxury edition of a book already published in 2010 by Justine Picardie (which you can hear talk and explain her book right after the jump; also, you can buy the first edition of Chanel, Sa Vie here) (via)
The Cranberries Dreams
March 18th, 2011 by kpriss
So it’s a pretty special song for a pretty special celebration. The most Irish band I could think off – The Cranberries with one of their early hits Dreams.
Hoping your week was nothing short of great, I wish your weekend will be at least amazing! Go out, have fun, but remember to always be fashionably stylish! (Happy Saint Patrick’s Day everyone!) (more information right after the jump!
Daphne Guinness’ Fancy New York Apartment
March 18th, 2011 by kpriss
I was thinking about a St Patrick’s Day celebratory moment here. And what do you know, I found just the thing! More so, since I already started talking about nesting, houses and decorating them, why stop here? Let’s take a step further and dig deep into the fashpeople’s intimacy, see where they live (from time to time) and how they decorated the place (or their interior decorator fulfilled their dreams).
Daphne Guinness, Guinness heiress extraordinaire (yes, in case you’re missing the hint – we’re talking about the real Irish beer – Guinness!). I guess she needs no other introductions. Fashion person extraordinaire (and half of her extraordinaire-ness is rooted in her financial power), Daphne chose a flamboyant décor for her New York Apartment. Click through and you’ll see just what I mean!
Florence Welch By Tim Walker For Vogue
March 17th, 2011 by kpriss
Is this Florence Welch? Really? I mean … really? I know Tim Walker has the power to transform even the blandest thing into a spark of magic, but this? Florence? Whoa! The Photoshop guys have really gone beyond themselves and turned Florence into Karen Elson!
Dressed in a Marc Jacobs dress with Tom Ford cuffs, Florence Welch as photographed by Tim Walker is an entirely different person. Literally! (it would actually surprise me the least to find out that it was a misprint and that this was not Florence as announced but.. Karen, biensur!) (photo via)

Rihanna’s Vogue US April 2011 The Shape Issue
March 17th, 2011 by kpriss
Rihanna. Red haired Rihanna covering Vogue US? I was convinced it will be a major disappointment. It seems that today, however, it’s my mythbusting day. First the trendy minty nail polish, now this?
This, however, is major breakthrough for me – a celebrity on the cover of Vogue April 2011 is hardly newsflash. Photographed by Annie Leibovitz – it’s the secret ingredient that would make my cover digestion easier. Watch the video of her Living Out Loud feature and it will possibly change your mind too, like it did mine: I love this Vogue cover! I think I may love the entire Shape issue as it unfolds before my eyes with more and more magic in each page. I’m charmed and I’m Loving It Out Loud! How about you? (don’t miss the images right after the jump and the video!) (Vogue via)

Perfect Spring Nails
March 17th, 2011 by kpriss
You know I’m a French Manicure girl all the way (ok, the red Christmas nails make a glorious exception). However, I’m not blind and I know this year the new French is mint. The Chanel nail lacquer everybody wants? Yeah, that mint!
I thought it was one of the blandest nail polishes I’ve ever seen. It just didn’t speak to me. Nothing. Nada. Until now! Today I finally understood why that minty green said nothing to me. Because it was like a blank canvas. Mute. Paint some cute flowers on and it’s an entirely different story altogether! Look at these nails! It’s spring, baby! Wear this manicure this season and you’ll always have flowers with you! (Kawaiinailart via)
Lindsey Wixson, Nimue Smith Mulberry Summer 2011 Ad Campaign
March 17th, 2011 by kpriss
Daydream… Tim Walker has that effect on me. And many more, I’m sure. His whimsical, cinematically enhanced fashion vision charms me each and every time and this is no exception!
The Mulberry Spring Summer 2011 ad campaign with Lindsey Wixson and Nimue Smith has the magic of an old country house with a modern twist. Garden party in a private girls school, that’s how the campaign tastes like! And don’t miss the original video commercial right after the jump! It’s accompanied by Lupe Fiasco’s Daydream song. Oh if only I could fill my garden with those hydrangeas! Right. Now! (Mulberry via)
