Teddy Thompson Take Care Of Yourself

This week is one of those special “discovery break” weeks – which means I’d be straying away from the usual soundtrack Friday Break and I’d make you part of a special little something new I came across and I love dearly!

Teddy Thompson. Have you heard of him? He’s already at his fifth album, so you might have… I trust you had a great weekend and the week that’s about to start will be nothing short of amazing! Don’t take this song in a parting way, I didn’t. I just love the caring, loving note about it: Teddy Thompson Take Care of Yourself.

Pregnant Jessica Alba Wears Prada Colorful Wedges And Prada Bag

I can’t believe it! I think I was the only one unaware of Jessica Alba being pregnant again! How can that be? My baby bump radar isn’t working anymore? Oh well, let’s get back to Jessica (whom we congratulate, even if it comes a bit late)…

Pregnant Jessica Alba has been seen around town wearing the Prada colored platforms not once but twice! And each time she went for a matchy – matchy look with an assorted bag, also signed Prada, also from the same Spring Summer 2011 collection (you may remember the colored runway here).

However, rumor has it that some of the Prada boutiques don’t have the exact same shoes models that appeared on the catwalk and that a slightly modified, less impressive option is available. Anyone has any word on that and on why it might be happening? (photos via)

Spring Key Accessories: Butterflies And Yellow Skirt Ballerinas

Flowers in bloom all around us, isn’t it time we get into the spring-ish wardrobe? Or maybe just get a tiny spring makeover for the new season? A token of your fashappreciation for the sun’s increasing generosity?

It’s been more than a week since I began wearing flowers in my hair and it feels so good! Now look at these two images below and tell me you can resist the impulse of spring-ify your look! A little butterfly attached to a otherwise gray, ordinary hat and a fancy Prada earring in the shape of a graceful ballerina wearing a yellow skirt? Gorgeous! Which one is your favorite? Dakota Fanning Marc Jacobs Oh Lola Perfume Ad

I will deliberately ignore the Juergen Teller photography characteristics (full flash power straight in the eyes of the subject) and discuss the idea of the ad. Which would be… what exactly?

Dakota Fanning for Marc Jacobs Oh Lola Perfume looks like a statue. Lifeless, expressionless, on a pink background, wearing a lovely lace dress. And the oversize Oh Lola perfume bottle between her legs. That’s really a classy pose! It’s like a 4yo was trying to make a Tom Ford – like ad without really getting the pun and the aesthetics of a TF commercial. How exactly is this ad supposed to be appealing? (photos via)

Headband Like No Other!

You know, I’m always on the hunt for new headpieces ideas. And this, my lovelies, is one masterpiece of headpiece!

It falls into the same category as the lipstick headband, only in a more whimsical approach – little soldiers pinned onto a headband and worn on a daily basis is something I would have hardly called stylish. And still… She wears it so well! Reminds me a bit of Toy Story! And I guess that’s how I’ll name that headband – Toy Story headband! What say you? (photo Stylescout)

Karl Lagerfeld’s Diet Coke 2011 Finally Here

Remember we were talking about the new Coca Cola designer deal a while back? Karl Lagerfeld has teamed up with the beverages giant to give us yet another iconic design of the Diet Coke bottle. And he delivered his end of the bargain, giving us not one but three design bottles for the 2011 edition of the Karl Lagerfeld Diet Coke initiative.

By now you all know that coral is the red-ish hue of the season. However, the Kaiser is not one to be shaped by rules but instead he bends the rules and embellishes the new bottles with bright fuchsia writing and stripes. And you know what? It looks great! It’s brand oriented, meant to highlight the writing more than the design and it’s bold and fresh. I’m loving it! The bottles will be available starting June 2011 (in supermarkets and department stores)! (via)

Chanel Iman DKNY Be Delicious Perfume Ad Campaign

Remember DKNY Be Delicious? The lovely recipients which hold the pretty fragrances from Donna Karan New York now have an absolutely adorable spokesface: Chanel Iman!

The girl is flawless and she suits the idea behind the perfume: a fresh, active approach of the DKNY fragrance. Not to mention I really missed Chanel being highlighted in ad campaigns and fashion magazine editorials. This year was more about Abbey, Freja (as always), Arizona and Anja. Don’t you think she was made for DKNY Be Delicious? (photo via)

Keira Knightley’s Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Perfume Ad Campaign

Up until the day I saw this commercial, I never would have guessed the Kaiser to be an Angelina Jolie fan! No, really, you have to watch it and see what I mean!

Keira Knightley makes one chic Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, but giving her so much motorcycle credit and flirting power is like wearing a bathing suit in the shower. Just because you can fill your bathtub with warm water, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going for a swim within. Does it? Such is the case with Keira. She just doesn’t have the same magic Angelina does (better said – did) – with motorcycles and flirting around just for fun.

Also – it could’ve been worse – casting Baptiste as the photographer! Imagine that! (photo via)
