Swarovski Mini Cooper

Though I’m sure that the Royal wedding is nothing but a pretext for this bling thing, I have to admit it looks pretty interesting. For a blinged car!

Bling My Thing (which is actually a lucrative Berlin business) used a Mini Cooper to present what they think should be the perfect matrimonial car for the Royal Couple. Adorned with more than 300,000 Swarovski crystals, with, biensur, a Union Jack roof, the sparkling Mini looks really princess-ish, despite my usual reserves when it comes to blinged up goods. Would I drive one of these if the occasion presented itself? Sure. Would I want one to own and drive on a regular basis? Not in a million years. How about you? (via)

This is something I would have never saw coming! Made possible by some magic advertising powers, the future Louis Vuitton campaign starring Angelina Jolie is rumored to hit the newsstands in May this year and to be a print thing only.

Also, photographing the campaign is the epic living legend Annie Leibovitz, which fuels beliefs that Angelina’s is to be a Core Values campaign, usually lensed by Annie Leibovitz and starring unusual characters from the four corners of the celebdom. However, I’m sure that from the $10 millions reportedly endorsed by Angelina Jolie for this Vuitton affair, a pretty sum will go to charity. Something we should see and hear about more often. How do you think she’ll pose? Like a movie star? a mother? a humanitarian? (my bids are on the latter)

The Royal Wedding will be soon upon us and I can only hope for it to go smooth and happy, without any unpleasantness. As we’re getting closer to the big day, more and more memorabilia appears. Some are noteworthy, some not so much.

In the noteworthy category there goes New Balance with their special edition of New Balance 576 sneakers. 10 pairs with the Will & Kate name on have been produced especially for the occasion. Much in the style of those cute Converse sneakers we talked about in the past. I’m loving Dolce & Gabbana, it’s not a secret. And I’m loving the hot, playful, sunny summertime. Time for outdoor fun, garden parties and flowery dresses.

(gone daydreaming) Yeah, so I was saying I’m loving Dolce & Gabbana.. Yes, I do, and, this time, surprisingly, I love their Cosmetics Ad Campaign with Scarlett Johansson. Something about her this time it’s dreamy gorgeous. I was thinking yellow bananas or Chanel soft mint. Now I have to add purple satin on my summer manicure list! And that soft eye makeup is adorable! What have they been using to obtain that maximum effect with that looks like minimum makeup input? I see mascara, I see kohl (black or gray) but other than that, I’m clueless. Any ideas? (via)

We’ve seen so many mad, mad fashthings around here. After each stunt I keep telling myself that from that point on, nothing will raise my eyebrows high anymore. I keep being proved wrong time after time and this is the latest in the series:

A project of the Bath Spa University which will be displayed at the 2011 Royal Bath & West Show in an effort to promote the Bath’s region famous cheese is the latest weird fashdo. The participating students submitted their projects and this, I presume, was the most notable one, as it’s making the rounds of the interwebs. It belongs to Lisa Dillon, a Fashion, Textile and 3D Design student with the Bath University and she called it “Jimmy Cheese“.

Yes, they’re made of cheese: cheddar for the heel, stale cheese sandwich for the platforms, cheddar and melted cheese for the top embellishments. This project puts the “cheesy shoes” name to test! (Metro via)

Any doubts that green is really a big fashion hit this season? Even Marc Jacobs knows that and he builds his outfits around shades of green. And more! He’s using pieces from the Prada Spring Summer 2011 collection!

The striped skirt? the shoes? (I wonder if the socks are Prada as well) and the furry accessory you see in the Hermes bag? All Prada, all green-ish (well, except the shoes – which are part of a new trend called flatforms. And they’re so fashionable right now, you just have to have a pair yourself!
