Florence Welch Is Gipsy Chic In Anna Sui And Chanel

Though it has been announced that Florence Welch will wear Gucci for her stage performances, it would appear that the singer is not bound by any restrictive deal with the brand.

She was recently spotted at a Nylon party wearing a Gipsy chic ensemble in Anna Sui (a piece from the Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection) and accessorized with a classic quilted Chanel black bag. How do you prefer your Florence? Hippie boho majestic in maxi flowy dresses or Gipsy eclectic as shown below? (photos 1, 2)

Daisy Lowe’s Stephen Webster Ad Campaign

Remember the days when Christina Aguilera was playing it back to basics with Stephen Webster and she modeled for the brand’s ad campaigns? More – she even designed a few pieces herself?

Well, it would appear that this season, brunettes have more fun at Stephen Webster as the new spokesperson for the label’s promotional works is Daisy Lowe as photographed by Mat Collishaw. And I’m not complaining, she looks adorably dark and mysterious! A welcomed dark change after a bleached era, wouldn’t you agree? (via)

Marilyn Monroe’s Subway Dress Makes Auction History

You know we were wondering why the fashion people keep on reediting Marilyn Monroe with (almost) every model out there? And we said they should stop doing that?

It would appear that not only fashion repeats itself but that’s something people should learn to do also: look what one dress worn by Marilyn can do to the world! Marilyn Monroe’s iconic subway dress from the movie The Seven Year Itch (1955) was auctioned off for $4,6 Million ($5,52 Million with taxes and fees)! Can you believe that? It was part of actress’ Debbie Reynolds (Singin’ in the Rain) private collection and now had to be auctioned off due to Debbie filing for bankruptcy.

In comparison, Audrey Hepburn’s Ascot dress from Breakfast at Tiffany only rose up to $923,187. Also – I always thought the dress was white or blue-ish only to discover to my greatest surprise that it was in fact ivory! (via 1, 2)

Isabeli Fontana’s Bottega Veneta Fall Winter 2011 2012 Ad Campaign

Although there’s just one picture that has surfaced from the campaign, Isabeli Fontana’s Bottega Veneta’s Fall Winter 2011 2012 ads are stunning.

And I’ll tell you why this particular campaign has caught my eye: are you familiar with the name Robert Polidori? No, he’s not new in fashion. In fact, he’s not a fashion photographer at all! He’s doing documentaries. Human habitats and artistic photography. However, he was commissioned for the Bottega Veneta ad campaign and he’s doing an outstanding job in fashion too, as proven by Isabeli below. (click the picture for larger image!)

Actually, the focus is not on Isabeli, as far as I can tell. It’s on art. The wall art, the floors, everything was there, just waiting for the red Bottega outfit to come along. Isabeli’s posture and getup were meant for that particular corner, weren’t they? Man, I could write an essay about this picture! This is definitely not your average fashion photography!(if you want to know more about Robert Polidori, you can do so here; via)

Naomi Campbell’s Clothing Collection With Ittierre

Naomi Campbell has inked a fashion deal. But not the photographic cum magazines one, like you would expect! Oh, no! It’s a clothing designer deal for a four – year designer job chez Fiorucci’s Ittierre.

A first collection with 15 pieces was introduced to the press, mainly jeans (just a little hint – Naomi’s i-D’s tee shirts were also signed Ittierre, so it’s no accident that she inked a fashion deal with the Italian brand that’s also responsible with the likes of D & G, Just Cavalli, GF Ferre, Versus). Either way, I doubt she will ever meet Kate Moss’ success, don’t you? (plus there’s little chance that she would be taken seriously wearing those furry Louboutins! Kitty cat much?) (via)

Leonardo Di Caprio’s New Girlfriend

Though speculations and photographic evidence were all pointing in Blake Lively’s direction, it would appear that Leonardo diCaprio did not yet chose his girlfriend post – Bar Refaeli.

He was recently spotted out and about with a “mystery blonde” in New York. Knowing Leonardo and his tastes in girls, the mystery blonde, is, biensur, a model: Anna Jagodzinska (you may remember her from a Vogue cover? I guess this makes Vogue’s May 2009’s Models’ Boyfriends pictorial outdated?). I wonder where Leo gets his relationship advices from? Anna Wintour? (via)
