Natalie Portman’s Pink Lanvin Dress For 2012 Golden Globes

Tonight’s 2012 Golden Globes Awards Ceremony marks the return on the glamorous Red Carpet of our favorite Black Swan lady: Natalie Portman, ladies and gents, is back!

And she’s looking amazing, as always! The word is that her pink dress is a Lanvin and that it was especially made for her. I like her (despite of her dress looking like a giant candy wrap). I like anyone who’s smiling, they bright up my day! And you know I have a seriously soft spot for anyone with a wee one at home!

I can surely try, but I know for sure I can never overlook Sofia Vergara on the 2012 Golden Globes the Red Carpet! Or any other event’s Red Carpet!

The gorgeous Sofia had a deep blue Vera Wang dress on, a strapless mermaid-ish number with intricate fabric twists (yep, there it goes, the twist again) on the skirt of the dress. Love Sofia, love her dress and most of all, love her smile, which I’m sure it’s not an easy task given the corset-ish look of that dress! Please smile more on the Red Carpet?

This is one memorable day, my daahlings! The day Angelina wore not just white (white-ish) but also red! She pulled up her hair in a twisted generous bun (you know, the biggest hair thing right now – the twist) and she even put some red lipstick on for the 2012 Golden Globes Awards Ceremony!

I think… hell might just freeze over right now, as we’ve seen Angelina Jolie wearing something out of the black and gray palette, even out of the white palette, as the Versace Atelier dress she’s wearing is more of a soft pink rather than white. Anyway, if anything, you can always count on Angelina to show some leg – so there’s her beloved dramatic leg slit! (just so you know, Angelina’s dress tonight wasn’t an isolated Red Carpet event as she worn something similar in 2009, only on black and yellow and… shorter)

You know I was saying something about the skinny gene earlier – I also think I have yet another gene besides that one – the lazy gene! And that’s not because I would sleep around all day (Lord knows I couldn’t, even if I’d want to!) – but because I’m too lazy to exercise! I can’t wrap my head around me on a treadmill, doing pushups or swimming Olympic sized pools (among the galaxies of reasons I adore, admire and respect my Husband for is his determination to train regularly.)

Now let me tell you a bit about the story here, before I shamelessly go on and on about myself again (will do that after the jump, though – consider yourselves warned!). I was really happy because the Awards Season has rolled out its Red Carpet! I just couldn’t bear the thought of reading yet another diet, exercise, or losing weight tips! Busting some myths about all that not only brings me peace of mind, but also cleans the mess in this matter! Did you know that 80% of what you look like is based on your diet? So no use in exercising if you’re not changing a thing on your daily menu!

…somewhat. Actually, it would appear that some savant study shows that being skinny relates to the good ol’ saying “good genes”. Only scientists are there to spoil it: the skinny genes aren’t so good after all, being related to high cholesterol levels and a multitude of other conditions one wouldn’t expect from lean people. The study isn’t yet finalized, so more dark secrets of skinny people may surface still! (shivering – I’m one of them, I think)

While documenting Louis Vuitton’s Pre Fall 2012, I came to see Balenciaga’s latest collection too. And, worryingly, couldn’t find anything that I liked. Hence, reading a story about Kristen Stewart sharing the “radical spirit of Balenciaga” seriously raises my eyebrows.

First because Kristen Stewart is well known for her skinny jeans, tee shirt and converse uniform, second because she has this huge impact on the young generation everyone is trying to imprint on. Commercially speaking! Without speculating any further, all there is to know for the moment is that Nicolas Ghesquiere has designated Kristen Stewart as the muse and face of Balenciaga’s upcoming perfume for women. I’m really curious what she’s going to wear for the campaign! What do you propose?

Andrej Pejic is doing new and unexpected things every day: he’s a catwalk bride today, he’s advertising for bras the next and, the latest: he’s a tattoo on someone’s skin. Enhanced with angel wings. Given that the amazing Megan Fox is shedding her Marilyn tattoo, it’s only a matter of time before Andrej Pejic’c ink angel form would fade into fashion oblivion and face the laser.

We just found out the other day that Solange Knowles (the other talented Knowles sister) signed up with a modeling agency and today I already find her posing for a magazine.

Oyster Magazine, to be more exact. And Solange is looking amazing! I know that she has some model talents, that’s for sure, but I credit that beautiful natural hairdo of hers for being so irresistible! Oh, and the photographer’s eyes too (Dominic Hayden – Route is responsible for the images). Solange may have a true career in modeling after all, huh?
