Emma Stone’s Giambattista Valli Pink Dress For 2012 Oscars

Emma Stone! My daahlings, how beautiful is she? Wearing a lovely dress by Giambattista Valli, Emma Stone is pretty in pink on the 2012 Oscars Red Carpet! Redheads lead my party tonight!

And did you notice the makeup? Both Jessica Chastain and Emma Stone look flawless in one of this year’s most notable makeup trends: the cateye! Angelina Jolie has some serious competition when it comes to black eyeliner! But back to the dress – doesn’t Emma look amazing? (photos courtesy)

Jessica Chastain’s Alexander McQueen Black & Gold Dress For 2012 Oscars

One of my favorite actresses wearing one of my favorite designers! What better way to start my Oscars report this year? Jessica Chastain is wearing a black strapless Alexander McQueen dress with the intricate, trademark golden embroidery signed McQueen.

Jessica looks amazing. The dress is amazing. I couldn’t be more enchanted with someone wearing McQueen (unless we’re talking Cate Blanchett) on the Red Carpet – Jessica ups the feminine factor on any of the house’s creations, taming the fierceness and the edginess even on this very dress. Or at least that’s my take on it: what’s yours? (hit the jump and check out the gallery; images courtesy)

Pleasure Of: Prada Fall Winter 2012 2013 Collection

If we’re to believe what Miuccia Prada had to say about her Prada Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection, it’s all about pleasure. Pleasure of fashion. In which case, I must be a really conservative person, style – wise, because I can’t wrap my head around this collection! A mix of layers, prints, cuts and embroidery, all threw on the mad makeup-ed models. I’m puzzled. I’ll have to take a closer look for a better grasp of Miuccia’s Fall collection. Can you feel it?

Bruce Willis’ Lovingly Perfume

Yep, yes, you’re reading that right! Bruce Willis is launching a perfume. Called Lovingly. Lovingly by Bruce Willis. While this is a perfume addressed to women and heavily inspired by his wife, Emma Heming – Willis, Bruce Willis had a previously scented adventure in the form of a perfume for men. Did you know that? I sure didn’t!

But let’s not make this about his men fragrance which was issued in 2010, let’s talk about Lovingly. By Bruce Willis. This scented declaration of love will be available for 34.95 Euros. Additional products add up to the series: body lotion 19.95 Euros, perfumed shower gel (17.95 Euros). The smells concentrates around white blossoms and fresh citrus with notes of sandalwood and musk. (to give you an exact perspective over this perfume: it’s released through the same company dealing with fragrances from the Desperate Housewives, Heidi Klum or Michael Schumacher)

Dark Romance Gucci Fall Winter 2012 2013 Collection

Milan’s Fashion Week catwalks seem dominated by some dark, deep feeling of fashion love. Now it’s either a direct, pessimistic reflection of the economic state of good old Europe (which, if it were true, should’ve been clearly reflected in London’s catwalks – and it surely wasn’t the case) or it’s a unanimous dark approach of romance and fall style – “nocturnal”, they say. And they’re all trying their best to make it festive – like Gucci tried to give it a wild spin by using feathers for their Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection.

Joan River’s Closet

This won’t take long! It’s just three minutes and something in which you’ll be offered a guided tour of Joan River’s Upper East Side NY closet. Guided by Joan herself!

What I liked the most about it? Her sense of fashion. It’s all about having fun. And her choice of clothing: shoes, for instance, go anywhere between Manolo Blahnik and Payless! And she seems to know almost every item from that closet! I always imaged famous people being so much under their stylists influence that they wouldn’t even know the clothes within their own wardrobes! Joan Rivers is a true piece of work: “Anyone who takes fashion seriously, is a fool!”. That’s what she said!

Past Ahead: Fendi Fall Winter 2012 2013 Collection

As Karl Lagerfeld is notorious for his newfound technology affection / addiction, labeling Fendi Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection with “past ahead of us” may come as no surprise. It is, after all, my vision of fall’s Fashion Week, and it is, after all, the grand Lagerfeld. Who doesn’t like, he said, to rely on the past for creating the future but who keeps historical references just in case. Don’t try to understand fashion, just follow it. Brainlessly. Ahemm.. tirelessly!

Alice Dellal’s Chanel Campaign My New Friend, Boy.

Chanel is offering us a taste of what Alice Dellal is for the Chanel Boy Handbags Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign. And it’s really disturbing. Disturbing visuals, bored, toxic. Neurotic.

I’m trying hard to see what the message of the campaign is, and all I’m getting is bad vibe. I don’t even want to imagine that some may find this ad “inspiring” and “inspired”, as far as I’m concerned, the dust better settle on this long and hard, it’s one of those aesthetics I’d happily lock in a dark archive chest and throw away the key. Curious already? Come on, press play! (and share your experience)
