Milan’s Fashion Week catwalks seem dominated by some dark, deep feeling of fashion love. Now it’s either a direct, pessimistic reflection of the economic state of good old Europe (which, if it were true, should’ve been clearly reflected in London’s catwalks – and it surely wasn’t the case) or it’s a unanimous dark approach of romance and fall style – “nocturnal”, they say. And they’re all trying their best to make it festive – like Gucci tried to give it a wild spin by using feathers for their Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection.

I can completely understand the somber mood regarding the financial situation that is clouding Europe, it is a scary situation that can breed fear, but I do like the use of the colours in this Gucci collection, they are subdued but still deep with depth and tonality.
The colours are not bright with hope but at the same time they show a glimmer of hope is there in the quiet elegance.
