Why Is Sienna Miller On The Cover Of UK Vogue April 2012?
March 3rd, 2012 by kpriss
It’s a rhetorical question, biensur, given that Vogue UK seems determined to be at the same fashion level as the Daily Fail.
Last month’s Lana Del Rey feature must have been a mistake, a gossip maneuver since Lana was pretty much everyone’s favorite controversy two or three weeks ago.
Having Sienna Miller on the cover of Vogue UK April 2012 is unjustified and uncalled for during the Fashion Week season!
Check Out Rihanna’s Jeans Outfit
March 3rd, 2012 by kpriss
So Rihanna is, once more, stepping out in an all – jeans look. Which turned out great the last time we checked. Only this time it’s different. She’s not only matching three different types of denim, but she’s also doing it in a way I’ve never seen (or thought of) before!
Fashion Week is nothing compared to this: sticking your shirt deep down in your pants is a geek thing. But not when the shirt in question is arm – knotted around your waist, it isn’t! I’ve seen some crazy layering until now, but this? Rihanna is boldly going where no one has gone before. In my fashion mind. Should I work harder to expand my style horizon? Poetry Of A Lady: Christian Dior Fall 2012 2013 Collection
March 2nd, 2012 by kpriss
Now that Stefano Pilati is out from YSL, Raf Simmons left Jil Sander (word is he was actually fired), more and more designers look eligible for the Christian Dior head designer chair. But what if…
…what if Christian Dior isn’t going further? What if they’re sticking with Bill Gayten? Would that be so wrong? Sure, the Christian Dior Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection was light and although it included some dark colors, leather and fur, it looked like catwalk poetry to me. No particularly deranging silhouettes, no cutting edge looks, just flowing lines and nice clothes. Can Dior settle for “nice”? Let’s wait the style dot com review and find out…
Dustin Hoffman Is NY Times T Style Men’s Spring Cover Star
March 2nd, 2012 by kpriss
Now that looks like a good fashion magazine issue: Dustin Hoffman on the cover of New York Times T Style Magazine Men’s Fashion Spring 2012. A great actor, an interesting visage, this cover has a lot working in its favor! (and something tells me this isn’t just for the gay population – wink). I like it. Always liked Dustin Hoffman, always will!
Diane Von Furstenberg’s GapKids Collection
March 2nd, 2012 by kpriss
A lot is happening this Spring! Especially fashion – wise! After Marni’s collection for H&M, there’s another lovely line coming to a store near you: Diane von Furstenberg & Gap partnered up for a special collection for the little ones!
Diane Von Furstenberg’s GapKids collection is going to be launched March 15 (that’s in two weeks, people! Write that date down!) and below is a preview of this very special and incredibly fun Gap collection, with Diane herself talking about it! The mighty Gap is not at its first couture collaboration – having previously worked with Stella McCartney for a kids collection, you can watch the campaign for that one after the jump. Is ti just me, or they seem to favor the wee ones when it comes to fashion (wink). Feeling tween-ish?
The Duchess Visited The Wedding Dressmakers
March 2nd, 2012 by kpriss
I wonder how it feels to be a seamstress working on what would become one of the world’s most famous wedding dresses. How do you sleep at night?
If the wonderful, incredibly talented and dedicated people who handsew the bodice and the skirt of Kate Middleton, now, Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress lack any sleep and peace of mind, now they found it! The Duchess paid a secret visit to the Royal School of Needlework (at Hampton Court Palace) where she wanted to personally thank the crafty team who made her wedding dress possible!
Approaching the one year anniversary mark (the Royal Wedding, need I remind you, took place on April 29th last year), Catherine wanted to personally express her gratitude to the seamstresses who, reportedly, had to wash their hands every 30 minutes to keep everything immaculate. Sarah Burton surely knows how to do her job and pick only the best! (pictured below the actual team who worked on the beautiful dress, courtesy)
Hair Inspiration: Hairdon’t
March 2nd, 2012 by kpriss
I was looking for some hair ideas (growing out your hair after being pregnant is not an easy time for any mother who doesn’t like extensions) and I found this: Ke$ha (I don’t remember writing about her before) proudly tweeting her latest hairdo. In my book, that’s actually a hair don’t. In yours?
Kate Moss Over Her Paralysis. Covers Another Man Magazine
March 2nd, 2012 by kpriss
Thankfully, it would appear that Kate Moss’s temporary condition (paralysis) is beyond her now and that her arm (looks) fully recovered. At least that’s what we’re hoping and praying for!
Kate was seen just the other day looking perfectly fine while out for dinner in London. Also she’s on the cover of a special Collector’s edition of Another Man magazine, wearing (that’s an understatement, given that she’s pretty much sans clothes at all) McQueen. The special edition magazine would allegedly be available for a couple of days already (it was launched the day Paris Fashion Week started). Not much to add – Kate is Kate. Truly a collector’s choice!
