One Dress, Three Ways To Wear It

This is just a variation of the Favorite Summer Dress list, in which I’ll take one of the dresses I’d really like to wear this summer and mix’n’match it with various pieces in three (different) styles. The thing is, you see, with Anthropologie’s dresses, that no matter what you do, dress is up or dress it down, an Anthropologie dress is lovely in every / any occasion.

And I used to think a $3.000 Macbook pro was an eccentricity! Can you believe there’s a laptop sleeve out there with a $11 Million price tag? You know, having a full (kids) house you learn a thing or two about kids’ television programs. And when motherhood and fashion intersect, I can’t do otherwise but talk about it: Heidi Klum attended the 2012 Kids Choice Awards held Saturday, March 31, in LA. Although I wish I could’ve spotted the wedding ring, there was none (sigh).

So what’s left for me to do? Talk about her look, of course! Heidi was wearing head to toes Roland Mouret. The butter glove dress looked flawless on Heidi (fact is, Heidi herself is looking flawless, so the dress only complimented her shape). She kept it simple with thigh – high soft gray suede boots (also Roland Mouret) and a pair of chandelier earrings. Great looking mum, huh?

How would you feel if I were to tell you that Kanye West is in talks to occupy the Dior position? Feeling dizzy already? Take a deep breath and think about it for a second: it makes (fashion) sense, he’s so ambitious and he’s making nice with all fashion grands, it wouldn’t surprise me the least!

Kanye nailing a couture spot is the next natural move for him. After all, Kim Kardashian is a fan of Kanye’s designs and that says pretty much all there is to say about Mr. West’s fashion praise. However, before you take the dizziness to the faint level, I should add that this was a great April Fools Day prank pulled by the nice people from Fashionista. The other day (Thursday, to be more specific), Elizabeth Olsen was seen out and around wearing a gorgeous crimson velvet suit from her sisters’ label, “Elizabeth and James”. Normally, the look could’ve just slipped by without me stopping for a closer inspection. This time, however, it was different.

Something about the velvety suit was strangely familiar. Something about the color, the cut… and then I remembered! Tom Ford! Of course! Tom Ford’s red tux from his Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection! I was dreaming of that tux just a few months ago, remember? So – what do you think? Casual coincidence… or? (the images were taken from here)

And it’s looking like something her Madgesty would do. Mirrors, crucifixes, black bodysuits, flirty looks. So, Madonna, Truth or Dare? Truth – we’ve seen all this before. Dare you do something new? I guess not. It’s a traditional perfume game for her Madgesty, with a little help from her new track (Girl Gone Wild). Madonna’s Truth or Dare perfume is available from early April at Macy’s and more.

I just had to bring you this! It’s not something you see every day or at a street corner near you! It’s a proud display of Japanese Cybergoth / cyberpunk fashion (don’t credit me for that, I picked it up from the source!). If thee was ever a Samurai in Matrix’ Zion, this must’ve been his trademark look! And I though I was an eccentric when I went out wearing a belt as headband! No – no – no! Electric tubes and wires, that’s eccentric! Ahem cybergoth!
