The other day (Thursday, to be more specific), Elizabeth Olsen was seen out and around wearing a gorgeous crimson velvet suit from her sisters’ label, “Elizabeth and James”. Normally, the look could’ve just slipped by without me stopping for a closer inspection. This time, however, it was different.
Something about the velvety suit was strangely familiar. Something about the color, the cut… and then I remembered! Tom Ford! Of course! Tom Ford’s red tux from his Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection! I was dreaming of that tux just a few months ago, remember? So – what do you think? Casual coincidence… or? (the images were taken from here)

Casual coincidence. None of these two “designs” are really a new invention.
Yes Rianna, I agree. But the Olsen twins did compile a coffee table book called “Influence” about all the people and things that influence their style and fashion choices maybe Tom Ford was one of the listed? : )
It is a fabu suit though, both versions.
Yes, I know they did that book.
Hmm, as for both I would say Yves Saint Laurent the man himself of course and his timeless Le Smoking have been an inspiration to both? Or even mentioned in the book? I should have give Saint Laurent credits.
Both suits are great but very different. Look at the snit, the lapels etc. even the colours.
