Christian Louboutin’s 20th Anniversary London Design Museum Exhibition
April 19th, 2012 by kpriss
It would appear that we’re revolving around anniversaries these days. After talking about Victoria Beckham’s the other day (and especially about her all natural birthday cake), it’s Christian Louboutin’s 20th anniversary we’ll get into right now.
No, don’t be alarmed, it’s not the designer’s 20th anniversary, it’s his house’s, his iconic red – soled shoes house. It’s been 20 years since the women of the world were first introduced to Mr Louboutin’s creative shoes flow. And it appears that the magic is nowhere near fading! (it even looks stronger than ever, with more and more lawsuits trying to establish its supremacy in producing shoes with tinted red soles)
Fact is that for years now, Christian Louboutin shoes are sought after by women around the world. Wearing red soled shoes is an epitome of style and femininity, although voice raise stronger with each passing day, pointing towards high heels as an absolute health don’t. Something to which Mr Louboutin himself adheres: “High heels are pleasure with pain. […] If you can’t walk in them, don’t wear them.” he said in an interview with Grazia in which he clearly stated that “… a man in heels is ridiculous”.
Unstyle, Wisdom Without Moderation
Liya Kebede’s Harper’s Bazaar Spain May 2012
April 19th, 2012 by kpriss
And this, my daahlings, is why I love fashion so much! The simple and oh – so – stunningly beautiful sight of Liya Kebede on a fashion magazine cover brightens up my day! Liya Kebede doing Harper’s Bazaar Spain May 2012. The styling is as effective as it is minimal, Liya’s natural beauty doing its magic. It’s one of those covers I’d like to frame and hang on a fashion wall of fame in my home! {tFS}
Crystal Renn Is Schon’s Blonde Cover Girl
April 19th, 2012 by kpriss
So what was she saying? That she just wanted to go blond? Come on, Crystal, we knew better than just to take your word for the new radical hair color you’re sporting lately!
And here’s the proof that Crystal Renn wasn’t just having a rebel hair moment: Schon! #17 as photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth and styled by Brett Bailey. Looking pretty fly with her long blond mane and seriously fit and acrobat during the shoot. Just hit the jump to see more blond Crystal.
What you need to remember, dear Crystal Renn, is that regardless of the color of your hair, it’s the styling that matters – if you’re going to keep that bleached blond hair and bleached eyebrows with the same styling and attitude you had in this pictorial, all is heaven! (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (Schon Magazine)
Couple Fashion Alert: Matching Stripes Like Diane Kruger & Joshua Jackson
April 19th, 2012 by kpriss
I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m one of those who works heavily on mixing and matching the family’s clothes for every outing. Don’t laugh! I’m my own Rachel Zoe and I don’t even have to dieeee or go bananas to do it! Anyway, if you’re like me, and your fashion heart won’t settle until you’ve matched everyone, here’s a fine fashion couple showing their true matching colors: Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson (at Coachella, biensur). En stripes! {Grazia}
Lara Stone Has Gone Brunette For Vogue Turkey April 2012
April 19th, 2012 by kpriss
We were used to seeing Lara Stone with her fabulous curves and her flashy blond hair in almost every magazine by now. But how about Lara Stone with dark hair? Lara has embraced the dark (hair) side for a pictorial in Vogue Turkey April 2012.
The pictorial is very eighties and Lara is doing a great job as a brunette. A true professional. Everything is angular, cold and provocative at the same time. Well done for the truly inspired team who worked on this photo session alongside photographer Cuneyt Akeroglu. I guess we’ll have to keep an eye on Vogue Turkey from now on, huh?
Tie Dye Jeans, The New It Jeans
April 18th, 2012 by kpriss
I told you! Everything is going paint – crazy lately! Nails, hair, clothes! We’ve talked about Prabal Gurung fancy paint drip pants (which you think are fun and nice to wear), now let’s see what the next it jeans look like! Tie Dye skinny jeans are de rigueur and Elle MacPherson seems to be a fan of the new denim wash. It’s not just a flower – power, music – summer – festival kind of cool!
It’s fashion, baby, and we should pay attention to it! Tie Dye jeans, tie dye jackets, tie dye tees, tie dye jumpers! Anything you have in tie dye, flaunt it! It’s the tie dye season, it would appear! (oh, and while you’re at it, add a tie dye wall to your favorite room too – check out the image after the jump for tie dye home inspiration!)

April 18th, 2012 by kpriss
Yesterday was Victoria Beckham’s 38th Birthday so: Happy Birthday, Victoria! One of the gifts she shared with us was her new Facebook page where she even posted a picture of her Birthday cake! See below. It’s called the oh – my – skinny – cake! Notice the chocolate icing – it’s just for writing around the cake, not on it!
Favorite Summer Dresses: One Shoulder Tiered Dress, Halston Heritage
April 17th, 2012 by kpriss
I know, I know, I have a crush on white dresses! But what can I do? It took one look at this dress and I was completely hooked! The Halston Heritage One Shoulder Tiered Dress has everything to please my: a cute, girly look, a perfect color and a summery, delicate fabric.
Not to mention the ruffles! I just love everything with ruffles! Not only they compliment every silhouette, but they also look ultra feminine and they’re perfect for dancing! (if you can’t do a ruffled dress like this one, at least try a skirt? Oh, and make it short! Wink)
Anyway, this is a different kind of summer dress – it’s fit for cocktails, weddings (though you have to be careful there – always check with the bride to see what dress she’s wearing and if she’s ok with you wearing a white dress at her wedding! Oh, and if you’re the bride and you want to wear this dress, well done! It’s unconventional, young and really pretty!) Oh, and did I tell you I really loooove this dress? I did? once more, then: I love this one shoulder tiered dress! (found here)
