Take Out The Clothes Via Photoshop Coco Rocha’s Elle Brazil Cover

Usually, I’m really pleased to see a magazine cover of Coco Rocha. There’s something very vibrant about her posing. This time, however, something’s different. Coco Rocha’s Elle Brazil cover is beautifully outrageous and outrageously beautiful.

The sheer dress she’s wearing actually had a body underneath in the same color as the flesh. Which was conveniently photoshopped out to look as if she had nothing but bare skin underneath the beautiful Julien MacDonald dress. Coco took the time to express her disappointment and her sadness that the specific wish (also written in the contract signed for the occasion) to not show that much skin, was completely and deliberately ignored. Should she take things further against Elle Brazil or should she just lighten up?

As a high fashion model I have long had a policy of no nudity or partial nudity in my photo shoots. For my recent Elle Brazil cover shoot I wore a body suit under a sheer dress which I now find was photoshopped out to give the impression of me showing much more skin than I was, or am comfortable with. This was specifically against my expressed verbal and written direction to the entire team that they not do so. I’m extremely disappointed that my wishes and contract was ignored. I strongly believe every model has a right to set rules for how she is portrayed and for me these rules were clearly circumvented.

Carey Mulligan Paired Her Prada Wedding Dress With Pink Wellies

While reports about Carey Mulligan’s wedding (with childhood friend and musician Marcus Mumford) are flying from left to right, there’s still no official image from inside.

However, as I still scout for pictures of Carey Mulligan, the bride, convinced that she was even more beautiful than she usually is, my fashion self is really curious to see how her Prada wedding dress matched the pink wellies she was allegedly wearing! (for her barn wedding)

Bring Out The Best In Your Dress With The Right Accessory!

This is actually another way of looking at the Favorite Summer Dresses topic. (which doesn’t imply that I’ll stop showing you my Favorite Summer Dresses in the future! No – no – no!) I have two dresses for today. Double the fun, huh?

An asymmetric draped stretch – jersey Maxi Dress from Cult’s CLU label in coral and a watercolor print silk maxi dress from Theysens’ Theory. Now if it were up to me, I wouldn’t stop and look twice at these two gowns. Because they’re not on my fashion alley. However, when the right styling comes along, not only do I look twice, but I’d also like them both in my closet! What changed my mind? Hit the jump and see for yourself!

Alessandra Ambrosio With Baby Bump. Without Clothes

And she doesn’t even need a magazine to put all that on proud display! Alessandra Ambrosio, as you may remember it, is pregnant with her second child. And she’s looking well, you know, like a pregnant model? Showing your pregnant body sans clothes has become a must, lately. And, as opposed to many other pregnant celebrities / models, Alessandra doesn’t seem to need a magazine to show off her belly.

She shared this image below on her Facebook page – should we expect a pictorial soon? (It does look kinda of artsy to be just an amateur thing – who books Mert & Marcus for a domestic session, anyway?)

Lara Stone Covers Vogue Netherland May 2012

So this is finally happening! Lara Stone on the cover of Vogue Netherlands May 2012. (this is where you act completely surprised!)

For their second issue ever, Vogue Netherland brings the certified Dutch model gold, Lara Stone, for a “candid” interview and a flawless close portrait cover under the title “Lovely Lara”. Lovely, yes, but cliché too. I admit, though, I’m pretty curious about the inside pictorial – the cover looks like the kind of “already established, self sufficient beauty” styling. Current Art Obsession: Sage Vaughn

My daahlings! I have an obsession! Well, actually I have several obsessions, but this is a pretty artsy one! Sage Vaughn! The dripping moths? You may have caught a glimpse of what they look like when we talked about Justin Timberlake doing a home decoration collection? (I think he either borrowed the painting or the vision from Sage, the resemblance was simply blatant). Anyway, this is an example of Sage Vaughn’s visual talent. Ring Cycle II. Like it? {Sage Vaughn}

Advertising Vs. Matters Of The Heart

I went around this video so many times! I just felt it had that something that’ll make me go through half the Kleenex box in just two minutes time! And boy, was I right!

Anyway, of all days, all those long hours sneaking behind it, trying hard to not press the play button, it had to be today. Today I watched it! Today, my dahlings, I went through the entire tissue box in that two minutes time! Not half of it! There’s no half measures when it comes to the hardest job in the world. The best job in the world! Today, you see, it’s our baby girl’s birthday. She’ll always be our baby girl. (Happy Birthday Princess! We love you so much!)

And any girl who grew up in a boy – filled house knows how special she is! That’s how our little girl is, with three brothers! She’s the princess of the house. The princess of our hearts. Now, hoping I din’t scare you off, press play and watch one of the most clever – built advertising campaigns I’ve seen in a long time. (P & G for London Olympics 2012).
