Miley Cyrus In White JP Gaultier Blazer For Billboard Awards 2012
May 21st, 2012 by kpriss
Beyond the usual lipsync talk (that shows just how good they really are), the 2012 Billboard Awards audience was left speechless by Miley Cyrus. Who forgot her pants at home and walked the Red Carpet in a white Jean Paul Gaultier blazer. And if that wasn’t daring enough, her blazer had a dramatic cleavage with a clear view of 19yo Miley’s lady lumps. Because Miley loves the spotlight, she’ll show us just about everything! {ConcreteLoop, US Magazine}
Rare Vintage Fashion Theft
May 21st, 2012 by kpriss
Remember when Marc Jacobs’ LV collection vanished into thin air? I haven’t heard anything about those thieves being caught – have you? Because we may have some kind of serial fashion robbers working here as a high profile Vintage store has been vandalized and very rare, precious vintage items were taken (like a 1971 Givenchy HC coat, 1961 Dior HC 2 piece, 1978 YSL silk skirt and more). If you have any information about the regrettable incident, William Vintage is reportedly offering a pretty ransom.{CQ}
Cannes Red Carpet: Diane Kruger Shines In Vivienne Westwood Golden Dress
May 21st, 2012 by kpriss
It’s virtually and practically impossible to catch Diane Kruger on a Red Carpet faux pas. I remember reading that she actually styles herself? I wish that was true! Because that would really make her one fierce fashionista!
One of the dresses she was wearing at Cannes this weekend, was a particularly eye stealing gown signed by the great Dame of Fashion, Vivienne Westwood! But did you know that the dress is part of a more extended collection (duh!), a Red Carpet Capsule Collection inspired by Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee? You can actually own the silver version of the Sol sequined crepe gown if you have $4,520 laying around. Either way, Diane really wore it good (see more images of her in the gallery, here)
Lara Stone In Music Video With Terence Stamp: Hot Chip Night & Day
May 21st, 2012 by kpriss
After two years from their latest success, the Brits from Hot Chip, an electronic indie group (who were nominated for Best Dance Recording in 2009) have new material ready for the dance floor. And this Night & Day video is part of their upcoming album, In Our Heads, hitting stores June 11th. The video, directed by Peter Serafinowicz is said to be inspired by Meetings with remarkable men by G.I. Gurdjieff. Beyond that, even if you don’t understand exactly what’s going on in the short film, you’ll certainly recognize Lara Stone and Terence Stamp!
The Tattoo Book: Scott Campbell If You Don’t Belong, Don’t Be Long
May 21st, 2012 by kpriss
Although I wouldn’t necessarily call this a coffee table book – who would just sit quietly, sipping on a cup of cappuccino flipping through pages of more or less known individuals who’d had ink done and they’re showing it off? I think getting a tattoo is a commitment that goes beyond time and fashion. It’s your personality’s ink perspiration. Show it or hide it, a tattoo is there for life. Unless you decide otherwise and then you’ll have the scar for life.
So just in case it wasn’t clear enough – tattoos are there to stay! Scott Campbell’s inking art found so many people willing to wear it that the man became famous in his own right. In his own art. Scott Campbell is a man of ink and art. And now he has a book to show it (and there’s more than just tattooed skin inside, as Scott Campbell found more interesting canvas to use his tools on).
208 pages with written words by Al Moran, Justin Theroux and Richard Price and photographs by uncle Terry (it’s hard to go around his “work” these days). Scott Campbell’s book found a teasing title for its front cover: If You Don’t Belong, Don’t Be Long. Belong where? In the inked club, duh! So? Ready to be / long? (if you’re interested, hereby some inside pictures from the book available here)
Kristen Stewart Promotes Snow White With Transgender Pictorial
May 21st, 2012 by kpriss
You know, back in the old days, Snow White had an entirely different meaning in my head! I imagined ball gowns, a girl who was as pretty as she was an amazingly good, innocent and naïve. Times have changed (duh!) and Snow White is now re – interpreted for a new generation.
A generation who wouldn’t understand the meaning and purpose of singing to convince squirrels to dust a house or biting into an apple, chocking, sleeping for a hundred years. At least not as long as leather, latex or some supernatural powers aren’t involved! (just kidding, I didn’t actually see the new Snow White, I’m just speculating after seeing this picture from June’s Elle magazine issue)
Kristen Stewart, my dahlings, is the key to Snow White and the Huntsman promotion. As such, she’s gracing the cover and the pages of Elle June 2012. Like you’ve never seen her before! Would you like to see more of he – Kristen?
Wedding Fashion: Mark Zuckerberg Wears Suit For Wedding With Priscilla Chan
May 20th, 2012 by kpriss
While last week’s main news (at least financially) was Facebook going public, Mark Zuckerberg (for those who have been living under a social media rock lately – he’s Facebook’s cofounder) married his longtime girlfriend, Priscilla Chan this Saturday. As sad as it may sound, it’s not the actual event that caught the eye of the press – it’s the groom’s fashion move, instead! Mark Zuckerberg, my dahlings, wore a blue suit and tie for his backyard wedding! It’s really a big change for a man who meets his investors in a black hoodie! {Forbes}
Gisele Bundchen In Great Shape For Vogue Paris
May 20th, 2012 by kpriss
Today’s obsessive body philosophy goes much deeper than just the “look good” shell. Whenever you’re on the verge of taking on a new body training class, you always tell yourself that it’s not just for “look good’ reasons, it’s because you want to “feel good”. And that translates into squats and pushups and whatnots. Sweat makes you feel good. Really?
Because no matter how much I push myself into various workout sessions, Gisele Bundchen still puts me to shame! She’s doing a perfect bridge for Vogue Paris! Beat that! Fashion magazine, huh? Next you know, they’ll be showing us how to take a Latino dance class wearing some high risk spiked Rodarte heels. I don’t know about you, but for those who were wondering where’s Vogue Paris’ Olympic themed issue, take a closer look at this issue’s Inez and Vinoodh spread with Gisele!
