Portia De Rossi’s New Haircut
June 7th, 2012 by kpriss
The bob still has faithful fans it would appear, as Portia de Rossi just stepped out with a radically short hair (given her long love for extended locks).
It’s a very becoming haircut and it looks really good on Portia. So if you’re thinking about getting a new haircut, consider a bob like Portia de Rossi’a. It’s versatile, it’s youthful and really easy to style! {DM}
Lanvin Resort 2013 Collection Structured, Pleated, Shiny
June 7th, 2012 by kpriss
As I tried to resume Alber Elbaz’ Lanvin Resort 2012 Collection, I realized it’s pretty hard to do it with just two – three words. I need a phrase. I need an entire column to contain Alber’s Resort inspiration.
Pleats, structured shoulders and skirts, it’s an unforgiving geometry ruling Lanvin’s collection. The tinfoil outfits (which you’ll see right after the jump) enhance the luxury feeling of the designs, that, although not exceedingly colorful or eccentric, enables the wearer to make a noble sartorial statement. (I do have a weakness for pleated and draped dresses, you know that! you can see the entire collection here)
How Do You Like Miley Cyrus Diamond Engagement Ring?
June 7th, 2012 by kpriss
While some voices raised shy break out prayers, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus seem to go stronger than ever! Liam created a special engagement ring with Neil Lane and he offered it to his sweetheart when he proposed, on May 31th. People reported that the 3.5 – carat diamond was originally cut in 1880 – 90 and kept intact ever since. The sculpted art – nouveau ring fits the diamond, flashing and sparkling like a disco ball!
Congrats to Liam and Miley! {People}
The Royal College Of Art Unveiled London 2012 Olympic Podium Design
June 7th, 2012 by kpriss
Think Purple! London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games released the first images of the Victory ceremonies outfits and flowers as designed by The Royal College of Art students.
The inspiration for the costumes comes from the Greek mythology and British Heritage. Also, they chose purple, because, allegedly, it fits all venues (they also thought of using white, but then it tarnished so easily) – although I was convinced purple came from blending red & blue from the Union Jack flag. Silly me, the answer was in the laundry room!
Street Art: Colorful Public Phones
June 6th, 2012 by kpriss
Brazil’s Telefonica (fixed telephony network) initiated the “Call Parade”, an artsy initiative that brings art closer to the people. Re – painting the fixed telephony boots located mostly in the tourist areas is a notable visual experience for everyone around. Below is the work of Luciana Assumption, on Avenida Paulista, Sao Paolo, Brazil. Call me pretty? {Yasta}
Marc Jacobs Resort 2013 Collection: Embrace Color & Print
June 6th, 2012 by kpriss
This is one of those collections that make me fall in love with fashion all over again! Marc Jacobs has that style power up his sleeves: just one look at his Resort 2013 collection is enough to convince you that fashion is still fun!
Referencing the eminent work of Cindy Sherman, the amazing photographer whose images continues to influence the world over (and who also did some ad campaigns with Marc Jacobs back in 2006) and making clown fashion out of it is something so Marc!
Julia Roberts Absolutely Photoshopped For Lancome Absolue Campaign
June 6th, 2012 by kpriss
What’s wrong with this picture? Well, besides Julia Roberts’ hair (which, in my perspective, can’t be otherwise but naturally frizzy)? Her unnaturally smooth skin. It’s the kind you can’t buy with Lancome Absolue but more likely with the latest Photoshop pack! Ooooh Pretty Woman, where art thou? {tFS}
Issey Miyake Artemide Lamps
June 6th, 2012 by kpriss
Don’t you just love it when a fashion designer label expands his / her clothing expertise into home design? It’s like your home is on the catwalk! Issey Miyake reportedly teamed up with Artemide, an Italian label, for a sustainable lamp project called IN – EI.
IN-EI (Japanese for shade, shadow), Issey Miyake’s Artemide lamp, can take various shapes but keeps the fashion groove intact. Can you actually believe this lamp was made using a mathematical program with three-dimensional geometric formulas?
