I won’t let this be the second week without our beloved break! Call it after hours this week! We’ve had such a hectic (but wonderful) weekend, I really treasure these after hours!

My dahlings! It’s been an amazing weekend for us and I hope it was nothing short of fabulous for you as well! First, our eldest boy just turned 8! And we had a bunch of people over, celebrating and enjoying the moment. Then we joined a cousin for the special celebration of their baby boy’s christening. Which party (of course) also turned out great (and led me to some ideas we’ll talk about later).

But I really missed talking style with you! And I also missed our weekend gossip (wink).

Have you seen what Kim Kardashian will (possibly… maybe) wear for Halloween this year? A kitty cat. somewhat. Maybe she was just inspired by her own kitty cat or maybe she’s just going for the classics. Anyway, it’s gotta have Kanye’s style seal of approval before anything!

(btw has anyone seen that pretty ball of fur around anymore?)

It’s October. Which means many wonderful things: the arrival of fall with every natural miracle that it brings; Halloween – need I say more? But it’s also the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I came across this video talking about the advantages of early detection. But also about a tool that could help detecting Breast Cancer years before the normal exams could notice unusual cell formations. Just watch it and tell me if you think it’s possible… I’m hesitant.

We talked leather. Perfect pretext! And since it’s Friday, why not make it a Casual Friday outfit with some leather, skinny pants and a totally adorable teal blouse with cats on!

I have a thing for skinny pants lately. I’m trying to consume whatever’s keeping me obsessed so I can move on. As for cuffs, especially the leather kind, I’ve always fancied them, same goes for feathers. Anyone else sharing my weakness for leather cuffs and feathers? From Leather skirts paired with rock’n’roll t – shirts or casual tank tops to leather dresses or leather pants, there’s a little something for every leather – taste. If there’s one thing you need to remember when you’re putting together an outfit around a leather item is this: break it! Don’t fall for the rock or the goth side of leather! Have fun with it! If I were to summarize my opinions about Kesha, I’d say “pop Courtney Love”. I can hardly stomach that much trash without much actual musical talent. But today it’s the wrapping that counts more than the actual gift.

However, my eyes were wide shut at the sight of a certain Kesha cover: Vibe. Vibe decided to turn Kesha into a more respectable character for their November 2012 cover. A strange mix between Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani, all heavily photoshopped. Ke$ha, my dahlings, doesn’t have that wasp-ish waist (to support my argument, at right, there’s a photo of Kesha from Maxim magazine). Which is totally fine because it fits her boy-ish, trashy entertainment character. Vibe got it all wrong. Please unphotoshop Kesha’s cover – it’s bad for her stage persona! Thank you!
