Bag Obsession – Marc Jacobs Softy Faridah Pocket Hobo
December 18th, 2007 by kpriss
Marc Jacobs handbags are known to be roomy and accessible, they come in a great range of colors with subtle but striking details. Though a high majority of handbags are sold in a range of price from $300 to $800, celebrities do appreciate Marc Jacobs handbags (Uma Thurman, Drew Barrymore, Sarah Jessica Parker I’m sure they pay much more than 3-800 bucks a handbag).
Well anyway, after the short introduction, I give you this joyfully colored handbag from Marc Jacobs. It is, indeed, very roomy and accessible with the front buckle pockets and zipped ones on the sides and the details such as black topstitching , silver buckles and zippers. It’s one of those handbags that cost $398, so we won’t seen it toted by heavy celebrities. Rejoice, you’ll be one of a kind!

Nicole Kidman and her Trendy Looks
December 18th, 2007 by kpriss
From time to time we present you some Red Carpet Premiere Appearances. And not all of them in a good way. This is another one of those ‘don’t!’ appearances. Nicole Kidman showed at The Golden Compass Premiere in Australia dressed in a metallic silver suit with black shoes with frizzy hair (rainy day to blame).
Not so long ago, we presented you this metallic trend as a very powerful one but we also advised you to handle it carefully, with moderation. Clearly, Nicole didn’t read those pages. In return, she had an inside scoop on the 2008 trends so her see-trough dress from 28th October (ARIA Awards) Sydney Australia Red Carpet was truly ahead of her time (and her age, regardless of her stunning good looks).
Can Gwyneth Paltrow Do Better than The Balenciaga Moon Bag?
December 17th, 2007 by kpriss
Today’s resolution was all about shoes. If it was about handbags, this Balenciaga Moon Bag would have been on a top position!
We rarely get the chance to see something that ugly, that expensive and still big in the spotlight. And we mean big and hideous!
Of course, Gwyneth Paltrow is not recognized for her exquisite taste in clothes (rather for her weird taste in children’s names.. not to forget little Apple Blythe Alison Martin and Moses Bruce Anthony Martin) but this handbag tops it all. It’s from the Balenciaga Fall 2007 Collection and it’s around $2.600 and should wear a warning tag “not to be sold for clients under 50years” instead of that shameful mirror hanging on the side.
It seems that Gwyneth wasn’t the only one Moon-spelled.. Ali Larter and Christina Aguilera were spotted wearing this particularly ugly handbag. (at least the Heroes Ali Larter had the decency to have chosen the black Moon Bag, least eye-damaging that her sister, the burgundy one). What do you think about this Balenciaga Moon Bag? Don’t forget to vote!

Christmas Present of The Day – Immortelle Eye Serum
December 17th, 2007 by kpriss
We are perfectly beautiful (or at least that’s what every one’s thinking). But that beauty has its price. Today we’re proposing you the Immortelle beauty for $50.
First known from the Greek legends about Ulysses, the Immortelle essential oil was believed regenerative, so, in the story, using that very oil meant regaining his demi god power for Ulysses.
The Immortelle flower is known as “everlasting” because the flowers retain their form and color when dried. L’Occitane patented the use of Immortelle essential oil, flowers they harvest in Corsica. This essential oil is known for its anti-wrinkle properties.
It’s a Very Precious Eye Serum that catches our attention. (l’Occitane has an entire line of Immortelle products) and that because:
“Crow’s-feet are less prominent, the skin is smoother and firmer. Dark circles and puffy eyes are reduced, and the skin around the eyes is more even-toned. Eyes are visibly younger-looking.”
Shoes Obsession – 5 Ugly Boots We Would Never Wear
December 17th, 2007 by kpriss
Since we’re approaching the new year, resolutions are in order. Today we’re in shoes resolutions: therefore we made a 5 positions top with the boots we would never wear.
On the 5th place, Dior presents us this fur-trim ankle boot and invites us to buy it for $1.150. Now, if we were completely fashionblind, maybe, just maybe, he’d had a shot. But let’s take a closer look: black macramé with tonal solid underlay and! tonal dyed rabbit fur and suede trim? That’s just ugly! Two times ugly – first time because of the materials used to create this ankle boot and second time for the result itself.
The 4th place is taken by Dsquared2. We like a lot of their creations, but this fierce zip and tuck knee high boots is faaar from what we could ever appreciate. Not only the price measures their ugliness ($1.848) but the extreme bad taste of the coyote fur trim and the thigh-high harness make the sight of these Dsquared2 boots a hard one to bear.
Further on, at the 3nd spot, we find the Christian Lacroix Motorcycle-Style Boots. We love motorcycles but this boots make us hate them. The embellished gator is detachable but still that doesn’t convince us. These $1.543 multi-colored iridescent leather shoes definitely won their place in top 5 boots we’ll never wear.
The 2nd place is occupied by Christian Louboutin (that we usually love) with this Donjon Studded Boots that seem to have an edge we can’t really taste. For $2.487 you get black over-the-knee flat boots with gold studs. At least for that price, they’ve could have had real gold studs. It would have been reason enough to buy (for some)
The 1st place was very easy to choose. If one’s business doesn’t work, one’s trying new ways to seduce the market. The problem is we cannot see how shoes can represent an interesting market for Victoria’s Secret, especially since they’ve done quite well on the underwear segment. So this surprisingly ugly pair of knee-high boots from Victoria’s Secret kinda raise eyebrows. At least they only cost $129.
