The other day I received an email from our friend, Ellington. She was telling me about a great found so I’m sharing it with you (since today it all seems to be about sharing…).
StyleShake. How often you went searching for something very specific, something you had very clearly in your mind but you didn’t managed to find after long hours of boutiques hunting? I know I spent days like that! (more after the jump)
Every time I had my mind set on something (that I only had pictured in my head), I couldn’t find it! (remember that jeans-quest I was on for few months?) I’m not great at fashion sketches so when I got familiar with StyleShake I was so surprised by how simple it was to really design your own dress!
StyleShake is about dresses, tops and skirts (for now, I imagine). You can choose the fabric and then go on a style-construction choosing from the pre-proposed shapes for the different part of the outfit. You don’t have to be a style guru, just be your own designer, you’re only a click away from inspiration! (photos via styleshake.com)

Ellington that’s fun! Like I used to play with paper dolls as a little girl….But I’ve to check it out some more this weekend.
Maybe Kanye West could use it to ‘design’ some dresses for Louis Vuitton.. why stop at sneakers?! muwahahaha!!
FedeCallas you only pay if you want them to actually do the dress you designed! Otherwise, it’s purely design-fun.

I just got my dress from styleshake, and the material is hideous. I ordered silk thinking it would be a soft smooth dress but no, it was horribly and crisp, lined in taffeta, and it is vile,. I’ve emailed them but no reply. I’m gutted. 80 pounds I spent, it’s for my mum’s 60th, and it’s hideous, I wouldn’t bury my cat in this dress.
I can’t stop laughing at what Alicia wrote above !!! LOL
I’m having the same problem as Alicia, I hate the dress I ordered, can’t possible wear it and they won’t give me my money back! Cool idea really bad customer service!
