For some reason, Angie’s back to her old posing ways on the cover of UK Harper’s Bazaar, the December 2008 issue.
I haven’t seen that face of hers since Tomb Raider, I think! It must be for the same Changeling promotion campaign, but at least she doesn’t look like a granny or like a drawn mother of six! She looks like the good ol’ Angie. There’s also something else that’s catchy about this issue. The gold snakeskin title. It matches Angie’s face (or at least her pose for this cover), doesn’t it?(photo via tfs)
UPDATE: Right after the picture you can find the photos from Harper’s Bazaar’s editorial with Angelina. (click thumbnails to see larger images)

She looks lovely! I will have to get this issue. I also like the font. :)
WOOOOWW! I think the snakeskin matches because it and angie are equally FIERCE.
I love it too! That gold snakeskin lettering really is nice on her seductive face.
I love her with a more subdued lip – red just knocks me over. This photo looks just right to me: Angie is sexy enough without making her all bombshell.
I found the pictures… I thought she was going to be more… her old self. I was half right! There’s still a picture where you’d say she’s 40 years old… She’s taking Brad Pitt’s age on her.
But still, I’m glad you agree – the cover is incredible. What about the pictures, then?
Kpriss, is that really you that wrote: “There’s still a picture where you’d say she’s 40 years old… She’s taking Brad Pitt’s age on her.”
And which photo is that? I love the laughing Angelina a lot. Her smile is beautiful and makes her look very sweet, nice. Which photo is the “40 years old” one?
Everybody knows even Angelina had some plastic surgery yet and so has Brad.
Yes, the cover looks smashing beautiful. Everything matches, nice colors, great pose and as common now great photoshop/airbrush or whatever!
There are little girls around who have to grow up with the image they have to be perfect. Squeaky-clean perfect!! I’m not pleased with that. Women and girls aren’t free anymore….they are or have become slaves to a perfect image. The new corset, the new Japanese Geisha feet etc. etc.
If western women does protest against burqa’s or other religious limitations to the freedom of women this is one too. In my view we need someone to set us and especially the new generation free…….
YES WE CAN!
Yes, it’s me saying she looks like a 40 years old woman. I don’t care if she had or not plastic surgery. It’s so common these days, you’d say it’s mascara! “Hun, pick up the kids from school, I’m going to fix my nose!” “Sure hun, buy some cheese on your way back!”
What I wanted to point out was that some people (let’s narrow it down to women) out there feel they’re not young anymore. Or not attractive enough. Or I don’t know! Whatever the reason, they’re acting like, dressing up as, ending to actually look like at least 10 years plus their actual age. And Angie’s one of those. She’s a thirty something young woman who wouldn’t necessarily show her age. And that first black and white picture shows a way too mature Angie.
I may be having a too young-ish representation of Angelina in my head, but I think she overdoes her lady-like-ness…
Yes, we can! ;)
You can’t get your own face back after using Bi-Facil when you had plastic surgery. Its not like picking up the kids from school and its not buying cheese either! That’s our difference in opinions about this matter.
Angelina as herself on photos for her humanitarian work or otherwise shows a mature woman too, not an older woman. There’s a difference for me between looking mature or looking old(er). And she’d better look and be mature as a mother of six [apparantly one more to adopt] and telling the world how we should feel towards the people that has less than us!
Well, I’ve not to think that long why people do not feel attractive or doesn’t feel young anymore…..the media screams to us everywhere how aging is a bad thing and we have to look fab and young forever! All we see is photoshop, there are not normal faces anymore in movies. Only if you’ve to play a really old or an unpleasant or bad person. I can go on and mention more examples….whatever….
But we never can fight Mother Nature. Look at our world these days, we messed up with her an now she’s angry. Even are own bodies laughs at us: we can do whatever we want on the outside but inside we get older and until now there’s nothing we can do about that….So we better be more realistic about the way we look. And be ourselves [again]. That was the conclusion of a discussion I had with two other girls yesterday evening.
As for Angelina, well she always did and does overdo things that’s her natural habit I believe!
Adriana, having plastic surgery is something I would never dare with my body/face. It’s my God given physique and I intend to do my best to keep it, not alter it in any way. Those who choose to intervene in the Creation, well.. it’s their choice. And that’s it.
Angelina looks her age in these pictures, that’s why I was so charmed about the Bazaar pictorial. She usually shows another face of hers, since her … relationship with Brad Pitt. I used to like Angie from her Thornton days, even if she was wild at heart and look. Untamed. Now, even if she’s a mother of six (and I must say, 30 min of complete crying-madness with my three kids is interesting enough to understand her fading freshness) she should set an example. She’s a mother because it’s her choice. She has six children because she wanted too. And she has enough money to grow them for years and not seeing them at all, that’s how many nannies she can afford! But that’s another story!
I think you’re right about her being an “overdo-er”!
