The new Wonderbra ad campaign with Dita Von Teese is brilliant. At least to me. It started like a techno video with a girl in a laboratory and continued with a fantasy.
I know many dislike Dita because of her line of work. I like her. I think she invests herself tremendously in what she does, she created an image for herself and she has to stand up to that. Being mostly retro, this Wonderbra ad escapes the ridiculous by filling your eyes with an obvious fantasy where Dita is not the main character. The main character is being attractive, being feminine and sexy, just like the slogan says “The Science of Sexy”. How do you feel about this ad?

Dita’s great and she does what she does tastefully and with style.
She reminds me of Bettie Page.
This ad is retro stylish and entertaining. The lingerie is pretty too, but my only fault with it is the idea of the mousy scientist blossoming into a sexy diva, too cliched.
Wunderbar!!
That’s right, Ellington, that’s exactly why I said it looked like a techno music video clip at first! They’re the ones using this cliche! But so is Dita after all, her pin up sexyness is a cliche too! (but such a lovely one!)
