Fabulous Fall 2014 Boots And Bags: Tom Ford FW14 Collection

Less is more. However, more Tom Ford, the better! I’m constantly surprised by the simplicity of the collections he creates, almost as he would set up to demonstrate the ‘less’ theory. All in costing more.

The Fall Winter 2014 2015 Tom Ford collection was more about special textures rather than revolutionary cuts. Sartorially sharp sequins, velvet, fur cleverly collided in a handful of ultra feminine designs for any and all ages.

Boots and booties

Tom Ford made it clear that they’re just as dress-able as the clothes themselves so he sent velvet and precious leather footwear down the London Fashion Week runway. While the skirts and dresses finished in boots below the knees with cowboy flavor and stiletto silhouette, he made sure to add some ankle boots for elegant pants.

Contrasting heavily with a sequined football t-shirt dress he bragged about tagging with $6.500, feminine tiered skirts floored the runway. Voluminous colorful elegant fur coats went against the sporty hoods but Tom Ford controlled every possibly off-putting detail into a symphony of effortless, timeless style.

He also proposed two handbags for the fall 2014 season: one that reminded me of heydays doctors’ carryalls and another that looked like a folded t-shaped envelope. Simple, classic, always trusty, Tom Ford is keeping it serious, simple and western-flavored.

Should we listen to Tom Ford, all we need for next fall is a simple palette of black, red, white and chocolate brown. Loads of sequins and precious skin/leather in classic-cut silhouettes. Although she wore Saint Laurent for the 2014 Bafta Awards Red Carpet, Angelina Jolie was oh-so-ready for Tom Ford’s elegant pantsuits! (and so am I!) (images styledotcom)
