Not a day without Kate Moss. It’s not intentional – or maybe just a little bit – it’s just that fashion can’t get enough of Kate Moss. Here she is, on the cover of i-D magazine, the Pre Spring 2013 issue, also called The Alphabet issue.
There’s more than just Kate Moss taking cover for this special issue – so far we only know about her, Karmen Pedaru and Suvi Riggs respective covers. But we also saw Kate Moss’ entire pictorial, signed by Danielle + Iago. And if we look past the airbrushing, we’ll i-D iconic Kate. (pun intended)
But I was really impressed with Karmen Pedaru’s images shot by Daniel Sannwald. The combination of thermal camera, phone and hasselblad imagery – although it has a geek resonance to it, works wonders for fashion forward people. I do not consider myself among them, but judging from a geek-ish perspective, this particular i-D pictorial brings something new to the fashion table (you can see more about Karmen’s visuals here)
One more thing about this issue so far: Suvi Riggs photos (signed Kayt Jones) look great! It’s a purging of anything Kate Moss you’ve i-D-ed so far. I don’t think airbrushing was even necessary in Suvi’s case, which makes it even more interesting and worthy. The punk quality of this cover and associated pictorial broaden this issue’s palette. What’s not to love?

Yes, too much photoshop, airbrush but I don’t mind, it’s Kate! The camera loves the secret of that face!
Some people are that delusional to think that anyone can look that good with the same tricks, forget it……nope! Kate is still the best :)
