Every now and then I visit a special place where I find reports about special visits into special places, with special people, with tons of inspiring images. And that place is The Selby. And this time, the Selby was right where the legendary Louboutin shoes are made!
That’s right, The Selby was in Christian Louboutin’s place: home & atelier! The very place where the red soles magic happens! In Paris, biensur. Although the place looks like it’s being renovated, it could very well be in a perpetual ‘under construction’ state. Who knows, whatever triggers the creativity is fine with me! (the story continues right after the jump with more images, click here for the gallery!)
After all, there’s a tiny piece of interview with Monsieur Louboutin accompanying the pictures, where he said that his favorite place to find inspiration is in his bed. So who cares about the painting on the walls then?
For those of you who happen to live / very well know Paris, there’s a particular image with Christian Louboutin on the sidewalk, presumably in front of his home’s building or in the very proximity (wild guess, there’s no telling if it’s actually so or just around Paris, randomly heading for a cup of coffee and a croissant – wink) of his home & atelier. You may guess the street’s name from the blue sign on the building’s wall. And stalk around, get in the ‘Louboutin magic zone’…

Christian is one of the kindest person in the fashion world.
That is the corner with his men´s store at Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau.
Ahhh, an atelier with real craftsmanship and a kind boss. So probably with devoted employees who love their job. Not a slave factory. In the middle of Paris…how can one resist that…..<3
This brightens up my day :)
louboutin has many factorys in china and india. (fact)
so why this atelier, then? :(
to edh : you are absolutely WRONG, I am sorry to tell you.
ALL his shoes are entirely made , from beginning to to end, in Italy.
