Remember that stunningly beautiful Dolce & Gabbana catwalk? The Spring Summer 2011 one? Oh, how I loved it! I wish I could have the necessary arrangements to accommodate it all in my wardrobe! sigh!

Three Vogue covers stand by my aesthetic and sustain my perspective by choosing a white Dolce & Gabbana dress from the Spring Summer 2011 collection to dress their cover models:

Vogue Paris April 2011, the first issue under Emmanuelle Alt with Gisele Bundchen on the cover, Vogue Germany April 2011 with Britt Maren and Vogue Spain’s February 2011 cover with Constance Jablonski. All three photographed each by a different photographer, with a different stylist and in different circumstances. How is that fashion – good? (if you ask me, it’s not, it’s just proof that stylists are only human, thus having human likings and Vogue is just another fashion magazine sifting on the same trends and influences). Which one is your favorite? (click through for larger images!)

While Gisele Bundchen‘s cover was photographed by Inez and Vinoodh and, most probably, styled by Emmanuelle Alt herself, it doesn’t bring the expected thunder upon the fashpeople who were apparently expecting a second sun in Emmanuelle. I think she will try to play it soft and safe for a good period of time, like a transition editor in chief and either way, a breath of fresh air from Carine’s fashtyranny is more than welcomed.

Britt Maren’s Vogue Deutsch April 2011 cover was photographed by Inlekofer Knoepfel (only writing that was a true challenge) and it’s a cover that speaks to the actual white trend without putting too much soul into it. Hence – Britt’s cover is as cold as a winter cover. As for Constance Jablonski’s Alex Cayley Vogue Espana February 2011 cover – it really speaks about the hot summer days and it’s less exact than VP. I think I like it more than the other two. (photos via)
