Cheryl Cole Covers Vogue UK October 2010

Why is Cheryl Cole relevant for the fashion industry? Oh, I know, I know, I should be asking this every time a non-model or a fashion outsider covers a fashion magazine. Still, I’m ready to forgive and forget, close my eyes and get on with the show. When a good cover happens.

This Cheryl Cole Vogue UK October 2010 cover is so wrong, so eye hurting and fashion insulting, I can’t bring myself around to digest it. Everyone loves Cheryl Cole. It’s a fashion. Get a highly media – covered divorce and you get a Demarchelier Vogue cover as bonus. Great deal, eh? (Vogue via)

I grew tired of England trying to sell it trashes as the “most fantabulous” must haves/must see/must hear/must…/must…
this girl is undeniable pretty.. gorgeous face but , as you said, she IS NOTHING…
England had a tradition of being trend setter in 60ies /70ies… after that nothing new came from there… but they are still capitalizing on it…the populace still think: “if is british it must be good”…pufffff

Well she was a FBW (FootballerWife) and is now since divorced trying to sell herself as something that I am not too sure of. I was NEVER a fan of her singing group Girls Aloud, and never a fan of her’s either.
I agree with mdinah, The UK is ALWAYS pushing these trashy types and trying to give them significance. I just wish that they would cease and desist this jank. :P

It’s WAG not FBW

Thanks ever so for the correction cc, you are every so considerate. :)
But from where I was from they called them FBW to coincide with that heinous tv show.

Argh, girls don’t fight please! Yes, it’s WAG and some of them are beyond silly. FBW is that stupid TV series. Not all ‘WAG’s’ are a WAG!! Let us not be narrow minded. So.
This is a terrible cover. Hurt my eyes too. Ms Shulman what where you thinking? :((

mdinah: I still love English culture the most….can’t help it….not the trashy part but overall? I love the UK and Ireland.

mdinah and cc where are you from? And what’s your gender if I may ask?

Adriana, mdinah is a 30 something y.o. male from Brazil living in Europe for 20 years.
yes, I do love british culture as well and the opennees to mix with other cultures you see there.
what I abhor is the brain washing process of pop culture..

relax – I’m not ‘fighting’ ! I’m female, from New Zealand. Used to live in England, now I’m back home. Keen to travel back to Europe ASAP

@mdinah: obrigado! :) It’s sort of ‘easier’ to know that. I agree very much on the mix with other cultures in Britain in art whether it’s music or fashion etc. Here in the Netherlands, despite our government is right wing now and some nasty voices raised, the culture mix has increased too until my pleasure. :)

@cc: ‘fighting’ was meant in a playful way girl.
Ah, sometimes I think New Zealand, Australia an Canada are better places to live due to more room to breath. Europe is so overcrowded that it suffocates me at times. But I can’t and I think I don’t want to leave Europe forever. For some time though? Oh yes please! :)
