Latest Sci Fi to win the box-office is Lucy. A perfectly minded movie by one of Europe’s most beloved directors, Luc Besson (also responsible for movies like The 5th Element or Taken) starring one of Hollywood’s most beloved actresses, Scarlett Johansson (and yes, this is the perfect excuse to tell you that ‘Lucy’ is worth going to the cinema for).
As previously discussed, Scarlett is now happily engaged and expecting, so changing her hair may just be one of those pregnant mood changes. Or not. While the world was so far used to seeing lovely Scarlett showing off perfect old-school glamour skills, this sudden switch to a new hipster aura might be difficult to digest (add to that her neverending pregnancy and you’ve got yourself lacking the glam action shero everyone was so fond of lately).

Oddly enough, you might find Scarlett and her new haircut looking rather familiar. And that’s not because she had this haircut before, oh no! We’ve all seen this haircut before, on another proudly pregnant expecting blond mama! Thor’s wife, Elsa Pataky was having an almost identically styled short haircut while pregnant with her twins… (would Scarlett also expect twins? That would definitely justify the considerable proportions of her baby bump)

For any other pregnant lady out there who might be thinking this is the hair-way to go when expecting, consider the change after you’ve given birth! A moment away from diapers and feeding bottles, just you and your hairstylist may be Heaven sent! During your pregnancy, the focus is million light years away from you (and your pretty face)! Everything revolves around the waistline (no offence – the cleavage is getting a considerable amount of attention up until the last semester when the bump will simply be too big to focus on anything else).
And no, wearing a shapeless romper won’t help shift the focus away from your expanding waist!

I like Scarlett Johansson, she does not seem afraid to try things in her acting, and I like that she seems to keep to herself.
I will mos def see Lucy, I am behind on my summer movies but I have seen Sharknado 2 and that was good cheesy fun!
I like her new kicky hair cut, its cute. : )
I suppose, noone told her, that you DON’T dye your hair during the pregnancy? :-( it’s so toxic!
I heard about that before – I’m not much of an expert, I never dyed my hair in or out of my pregnancies – but I always read pros and cons about the dying process and its repercussions on pregnancy (and the overall health of the body, let’s face it, we’re not mindful just when we’re pregnant, right?) The hair itself is just as dead as the nails – I think a light ombre on the ends only wouldn’t touch the scalp, hence the chemicals don’t get in touch with the skin.. Am I getting somewhere here? It’s really worth investigating – what say you Diyana?
