Girly Inspiration: Katie Rodgers Fashion Art

I was feeling a bit intoxicated by the polished rock’n’roll moment we shared yesterday, courtesy of Hedi Slimane so I tried to source out some girly inspiration to discuss upon today (Ana, please concentrate on something more positive than la Lohan for Saint Laurent? Think pink? And please immediately shut down any additional Courtney Stodden thoughts!).

I was actually saving this story for the right moment. And that’s today! All the glitter, the tulle, the sequins! Definitely needing some after SLP’s major fail!

My dahlings, I’d like you to meet Katie Rodgers! More like meet her art! Her unbelievably delicate, girly fashion art!

It seems to be a drawing-kind of day as here I am, talking about another brilliantly talented sketch-artist after getting all wrapped up in that superheroes talk! But unlike the that controversial wardrobe comics, Katie Rodgers’ drawings are dreamy and full of feminine poetry. Not that astronauts can’t be poetic as well! (wink) but the way she blends in real detail in watercolor drawings is really making my heart melt!

I always wish I could master the art of fashion sketching and looking at Katie drawing her beautiful silhouettes seems to easy and natural! How about you?
