Talking about Photoshop and retouching somebody beyond recognition: Monica Bellucci’s legendary appeal doesn’t seem to have aged a day in her Vanity Fair Spain February 2013 pictorial.
The same smoky, beautiful eyes, the same perfect pout: Monica Bellucci remained – as we all remember her – flawlessly feminine and seductive. Although I’m not familiar with her recent movie works, she doesn’t need an excuse to do a magazine feature. The timeless approach of Norman Jean Roy’s VF Spain photographs capture Monica’s irresistible charm in all its distant & aristocrat Latin beauty.
I’m not necessarily a fan of Monica’s appeal as I find it to perpetuate the need to objectify women, to keep the focus not on a woman’s moral & intellectual attributes but more on a woman’s physical attributes. However, I do admire her longevity and coherence: Monica Bellucci doesn’t need to reinvent herself. Doesn’t need an update. She’s been like this forever and she’s continue to defy the times and the fashions with her style & looks.
