Ever since her divorce, Christina Aguilera has kept her public persona in the spotlight either through her participation in a TV show, either through her personal life (her boyfriend, that is) or through her very own body. Because, as we all know, Xtina has always been about & around her body.
This time, however, something’s changed. And I’m not just talking numbers on a scale. Yes, she gained some weight. But she also said she’s feeling more herself, more beautiful this way. That she’s proud of her body etcetera. Now this new perfume of hers is getting released in stores and with it, an advertising campaign to measure (at least) the name & slogan of the fragrance: Christina Aguilera Royal Desire, ‘ Feel like a Queen’.
And then there’s Christina Aguilera. Sitting on a chair, all pink and ribbons, like we’re used to. Her face reminds of Marlene Dietrich and her body … of anybody else’s except Christina’s. Or, just like Jezebel’s Dodai Stewart puts it: ‘a woman who looks a lot like Christina Aguilera, except Photoshopped to hell and back’. Where’s that body pride now, huh, Xtina?
The picture was made 2 years ago, when she was thinner and admittedly, looking much better and healthier.
If you watch the promotional video you will see that everything that “Doday Whatever “( cant stand that woman…) points out as fail is achievable by movement.
Of course she cannot feel that good in this new fat body..I wouldn’t either. But telling us about pride and then showing us these old pictures from two years ago when she was still normal figured, se*y and healthy….stupid girl.
Lala I wouldn’t make assumptions on how she feels in this or that body. It’s beyond the point of this discussion – I was merely suggesting that Christina’s marketing team fell behind on who she is lately. That they’re living in the past and they want us to buy the past.
@ana oooh! There’s a video to this mess as well? wow!
I read this last night looking for the promo video ana mentioned and found myself listening to La Aquilera’s great voice. And sobbing during a beautiful live performance of Hurt…….
These artists should stuck to what they are the best at. I don’t care how artists look as long as they feast my ears……
