Awww! Look who’s back! Sasha Pivovarova is looking better than ever and her Elle Germany September 2012 cover is all kinds of beautiful! Photographed by Michael Thompson, Sasha is simply ethereal and I hope it doesn’t stop at the cover! Also: I hope this puts an end to Natalia Vodianova’s reign. {Newslicious}

Very lovely. I am also a tad bored with Natalia although she is very pretty.
ELLE’s covers are usually nice also here in the Netherlands. Really, Dutch ELLE is still nicer than the Dutch Vogue. Dutch ELLE’s September Issue is also better than Dutch Vogue September Issue. Is off-topic I know but I like to inform you.
That photo is a really old Tiffany’s ad, from 2008!
Oh, that’s so disappointing, really! (thank you so much for pointing it out, Nikki!) I thought she’d be back in the game, we kinda missed her around here ;)
Not the first time that ELLE Germany ‘borrows’ a an older photo for their covers.
Is that legal?
They probably had some kind of deal with the photographer? Must be like in the movie industry – after a certain period of time on the big screen, they get a DVD release and then they can be passed on TV. Imho.
After you said that the Dutch Elle is slightly better than the Dutch Vogue, I was pretty tempted to think the same about the German edition of Elle as well…
Ahum, German Elle does not come near Dutch Elle. No way! Sorry, to say so……
Sasha just had a baby in May 2012, so even if she just started to go back to work, I don’t think we’ll see her until December.
Unless she shows up for fashion week!
My thoughts exactly, Nikki! I was kinda hoping she’d get back, although I imagine there’s nothing she’d want more than to be with her family :X
Riana – sorry to have assumed it in the first place! Better check out the Dutch edition then ;) (it’s just that while I can understand a word or two in German, I’m completely blind when it comes to reading Dutch :D)
I understand Deutsch very well. But the way I speak it? Let alone write it. Anyway, they always get it what I want them to know. :D
I check out most of the magazines in the store every month so it’s not just an assumption.
