Kristen Stewart’s Vanity Fair July 2012

You know when I thought Kristen Stewart wasn’t worthy of all the praise and highlight cast upon her from the Hollywood crowd (and more)? I’m throwing all that out the window! Kristen is growing into a fine young lady, it would appear; although I plan on seeing her interpretation of Snow White this week, Vanity Fair’s cover story with Kristen tries to convince me that she can be quite the princess.

Photographed by Mario Testino for Vanity Fair‘s July 2012 issue, Kristen gets to wear all kinds of couture wonders all in answering the interview’s questions with her notorious rebel attitude. (the story continues right after the jump, click here for the gallery!)

Something Vanity Fair is trying to capitalize on. Instead of trying to turn her into a Red Carpet precious princess, the stylists point towards Kristen’s desire to be her own person, her own master. High heels, sequins and heavy eyeliner – of course she’s enjoying it all, only seasoned with a pinch of Converse (not long ago, for the Red Carpet Premiere of her latest movie, Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen was all glam and glitz seconds after she swapped her black slim Converse for black high heeled shoes in a bush nearby).

She’s the unconventional Hollywood starlet, the rebel without a distinct cause who’s courted by haute fashion and majestic photographers and who’s trying to keep honest in a world of smoke and mirrors. No wonder she looks fake most of the time – wink! One thing, though – that wee dog on the cover? It’s so Paris Hilton! So not couture!

I will have to disagree with your assessment of KStew.
I cannot abide her, I find her graceless in her attitude and demeanor. Yes by all means do not be fake but please do not be obtuse. She often says the most ignorant things.

@Ellington – What ignorant, “obtuse” things exactly?

While I don’t think she’s an amazing actress (I do think she has potential, though judging from her previous roles), I don’t get all the hate that she gets. I find her to be refreshingly different – and I think that’s why people are so nasty to her. Because we’re so used to the typical overconfident, fashion-everything celebrity that they don’t understand her.

I really don’t see how any of that makes her “graceless.”
