So this is finally happening! Lara Stone on the cover of Vogue Netherlands May 2012. (this is where you act completely surprised!)
For their second issue ever, Vogue Netherland brings the certified Dutch model gold, Lara Stone, for a “candid” interview and a flawless close portrait cover under the title “Lovely Lara”. Lovely, yes, but cliché too. I admit, though, I’m pretty curious about the inside pictorial – the cover looks like the kind of “already established, self sufficient beauty” styling. I will say this so far I really like Dutch Vogue’s covers over the US Vogue’s. They are pretty, fresh and they actually use models!!

I’ve only seen this cover so far on the web Ellington. Yes, it’s still better than Vogue US but I think it’s boring. I like Lara a lot but this is a May cover and Lara looks like a lovely ice queen here.
Naturally I adore this cover – it reminds me of simpler times – pick a supermodel & let her work her magic. I think Lara is great whether she is vamping it up Studio 54 style or au naturale like this cover. I don’t find it cliche but a natural choice – IMHO.
As far as US Vogue covers – dull dull dull!
I saw the cover ‘live’ and it did look better to be honest….I like Lara but I’ve a bit overdose Lara/Doutzen. I didn’t purchase this Vogue and neither I’d look inside….
