I wonder how it feels to be a seamstress working on what would become one of the world’s most famous wedding dresses. How do you sleep at night?
If the wonderful, incredibly talented and dedicated people who handsew the bodice and the skirt of Kate Middleton, now, Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress lack any sleep and peace of mind, now they found it! The Duchess paid a secret visit to the Royal School of Needlework (at Hampton Court Palace) where she wanted to personally thank the crafty team who made her wedding dress possible!
Approaching the one year anniversary mark (the Royal Wedding, need I remind you, took place on April 29th last year), Catherine wanted to personally express her gratitude to the seamstresses who, reportedly, had to wash their hands every 30 minutes to keep everything immaculate. Sarah Burton surely knows how to do her job and pick only the best! (pictured below the actual team who worked on the beautiful dress, courtesy)
