Queen Bee is out on the cover of Dazed and Confused defending her pop icon status and melting the world one ice cream at the time… ahem.. one song at the time. One picture at the time. Um, whatever, Beyonce is Dazed and Confused this July 2011! I like Beyonce. I do. She’s as part of our life as the very ice cream she’s holding. But I never really understood why she dons this horrific blond hair (lacefront, you name it) every now and then! I know, this time it falls into the pop styling thing, and still? Doesn’t it look strange? A bit? Teeny tiny bit? (Dazed via)

I actually like these photos of Beyonce. I have to say that I prefer them to the ones that you have posted so far of Lady Gaga.
And Kpriss why is ok for Lady Gaga to wear her wigs but this is not working for Beyonce?
I find that Beyonce cultivates this Sacha Fierce image just for the magazines, videos and stage. But seems rather different off of the stage. And she does it well.
Oh Gaga she’s just a puppet – she can wear whatever wig she wants, I will not take her seriously either way. It’s as ok as it is for a Clown to wear its attire.
As far as Beyonce goes, it’s a different story – I think that much blond on her doesn’t make my skirt fly – more – it somewhat makes her look granny-ish. But that’s just my perspective over Bee’s blond wig (if I would have to choose, I’d go for her big curls hair days or her sweet light brown waves? simple does it better for me, simple and natural).
As for Sasha Fierce – I think she strayed a little from that tight Mugler-ish image for this album. I think she went more on the Nicky Minaj courted aesthetics, the bright pop, urban culture that seems to be more appealing right now? I may be wrong, but this is what the images tell me…?
I like Nicky Minaj she is fun and different. But I do not think Beyonce is aping that per se, Beyonce has always tried to have an edge of high fashion in her performance looks, now if that has been working or not is moot but I like this short blond wig more than her usual big blonde hair or her big brown hair. She is changing. : )
