I couldn’t help but notice Saskia de Brauw during the handful of fashion shows I “reviewed” from the Fall Winter 2011 2012 Fashion Weeks. She seemed to have had some of the most wonderful outfits of the catwalk. At least for me.
If that’s a marketing gimmick to pop Saskia more in the fashpeople eyes, it’s working. Carine could have pulled on some strings to make it happen. Why? Because there she goes, Saskia de Brauw on the cover of Vogue Paris March 2011. The last issue under Carine Roitfeld‘s editorial scepter at Vogue Paris.
Photographer: Mert and Marcus. If we’re to lean our ears to rumors, Carine wanted to highlight Saskia as the new it model. On the other hand, the references to the sensual cult series “Emmanuelle” are more than obvious, only Carine and Emmanuelle Alt may actually know the truth. The pictorial, where you can also see Daphne Groeneveld alongside Saskia is clearly inspired by the series. Coeurs A Corps Perdu. That’s the name of the pictorial and there you have some examples. Does this honor Carine’s reign as Vogue Paris editor in chief? (via)
