In other luxury related news, it appears our beloved haute designers have decided that, regardless of the honors and the fame of haute couture design, affordable ready to wear plays it safer (and sells way better).
Karl Lagerfeld is joining the fast fashion movement once more (remember he did a line for H & M few years back), this time for Macy’s. Also, Tom Ford is preparing a collection with the Swedish textile giant for next year. Who would you rather wear? Karl or Tom? Both? (via, photos via 1, 2; photochopping courtesy Stylefrizz)

I don’t care whom design for H&M. It are only famous names and why do they all like to participate? It’s still H&M and H&M quality. Lanvin’s collection doesn’t impress me either. Imagine all these Christmas dinners with blushing ladies wearing the same dress in a few weeks? Oops…..
Is this the new Prêt-à-Porter perhaps?
I’m not interested unless they start making them in plus sizes. That’s not going to happen anytime soon or ever.
