After giving us that stunningly sense-voided commercial and the headache that accompanied it, Gucci is coming strong with something as high – useless as it is high –tech: the first ever 3D luxury glasses.
Pioneering is good, but pioneering has to bring something useful for the human kind, not just for the snobbish section of it! Gucci thinks that 3D is the next big thing. They may be right, but with a $225 price tag for a pair of plastic glasses, don’t you suddenly feel more appreciative vis-à-vis those cheap plastic glasses they give you in cinemas? (and the answer is no – you can’t wear those Gucci 3D glasses outside the cinema. It’s only meant for the darkness of the 3D projecting cinemas!) (via)

Pioneering? These 3D specs are available for a nice, normal price in every optician store.
Armani’s 3D glasses are for sale for €58 for those who love to show off a brand. But whom take notice in a dark cinema?????
